There is a chance Manny loses this fight, but it really doesn't matter in terms of his legacy. He still ranks inside the top 25 of all time. Unlike Mayweather, Pacquiao's stock can only go up. If he wins, he's top 15/20. If he loses? It's irrelevant, really. However, Mayweather's stock improves if he wins but if he loses? His resume is very weak and I don't see him being ranked inside the top 100.

For Mayweather, this is a make or break fight for his legacy. For Pacquiao? His legacy is set in stone.

  2. I agree. The pressure is all on Mayeather here. He's a natural Welter. If Pac get absolutely dominated then that is all that will really diminish what's been done, in my eyes.

ATG rankings are based on Achievements and Pac will be ranked higher than Mayweather

thats why Duran is ranked so highly despite losing to Leonard, and Hearns.

And Calzaghe dont rank higher than Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr

So? That means nothing. Styles make fights and That may just be it. However, Pacquiao is more proven and has a solid legacy.

Last time I checked, William Joppy was pretty far behind Roberto Duran, anyway.

Agree if PBF's stock dramatically going down if he loses. If PBF beats Pacman dramatically by KO or TKO then this will help PBF tremendously. If he only beats him by pot shots and running, no help at all.

I don't get it. Pacquiao is supposedly the greater fighter than Floyd, yet Floyd's stock would go down if he lost to Pac but Pac's stock wouldn't go down if he lost to Floyd? That doesn't make sense. Anyway, Mayweather will go down as the greater fighter if he wins. Ditto for Pacquiao.

    hmm says . . .

if PBF beats Pac, we need to see what else he does after that will further his so called "legacy"/ ATG ranking....

too early to say.. wait until both fighters' career is over..

I can't agree with this. This is not a make or break fight for either fighter's legacy. I agree lose or draw I don't see how you can rank Pacquiao below the top 25 of all time no matter what happen's. But the same can be said for Floyd. I hate the guy as much as the next but I honestly don't see how anyone could rank this guy outside of the top 100 all time. He's just soo unbalievably good. Him and pernell whitaker are easily the best two boxers I have everseen so really I don't know how anyone could fathum him not beening in the top 100 cause of a lose at the end of his career.

They're all terrible posters who know nothing about boxing as a sport. They just follow Pacquiao's opponents and trace through artcles, finding anything remotely negative about the man himself.
