Don't be stupid Jack, Duran was well past it when he fought Joppy. That's a ******ed comparison. Both of these fighters are still relatively in their prime. If Pac's legacy is supposedly set in stone, and he's supposedly so great, then how the hell does it makes sense to say that Floyd's legacy takes a hit if he loses but Pac's doesn't? According to you, Pac should win if since he's the better fighter. How do you not penalize someone for losing a fight they should win? How do you then suggest that a fighter should be penalized for losing a fight they should lose?

    This is like like Duran-Leonard.

Duran's win over SRL is considered one of the biggest wins ever while Leonards win over Duran doesnt have the same weight and its the same in this fight a Pac win will be bigger than the other way around.

Mayweather will be judged by how he moves in the ring. And he is very impressive.

Pac will be judged by his accomplishments - his lineal titles, the manner how he beats them, the size of who he fought.

Pac and Mayweathers last 10 opponents (W-L-D):

    Pac....... 448-27-5
    Floyd..... 383-35-9

  7. Cause of the weight difference. Really if Floyds as good as his current status says he is he should win this fight. If he gets beat by a guy who at this stage is a natural 140 pounder (despite him beating welters, that's irrelevant) then Floyd just isnt that great at welter. That's all there is to it.

It should and it does with me not to mention he made Duran quit and beat the big 4.:deal SRl's win over Duran is still talked about to this day I would argue anyone that the "No mas" is much bigger than Duran's first win over SRL.:deal

Pacquiao is ranked above Mayweather in the p4p rankings. He's also ranked above Mayweather at WW. So in actuality, Pacquiao is the one who should win. This whole thread is silly. It's basically attempting to discredit Floyd before the fight even starts. If Pac is supposedly a better fighter than Floyd, than his legacy takes a hit if he loses. Don't tell me about the weight difference bull****. Pacquiao has had two fights at Welter, he's the one with the WW belt, and he's ranked above Floyd at Welter.

It might be for you but not for the majority of fans,if you start a poll in the classic forum asking what win do they consider to be better, the overwhelming majority will say that Duran beating SRL is a better win specially when you consider that Duran was the only one of the fab four that beat Leonard.

  12. I know that was a typo, but what a lovely thought - PBF getting beat up by Duran.

The only disadvantages he's going to be at relates to talent and skill.

  14. None of this addresses the fact that PAC is a natural 140 pounder and Floyd now isnt.

It depends on how Manny loses. We already know he's in the record books for his accomplishments, so that won't be taken from him. If Mayweather shuts him down the way he did Marquez, that automatically puts Mayweather above him as far as his boxing ability goes, not accomplishments. Manny has accomplished more, but against less gifted opponets compared to Mayweather. So, should he happen to loose, depending on how he loose. He would still be considerd good, but not great, putting Mayweather at the top and Manny second.
