I didn't say what would happen if Oscar simply won, I said what would happen if he were to beat the **** out of Floyd. Who would you say was the better fighter if Oscar had won a dominating and lopsided 12 round decision?

I'm not saying that Pac is too small for WW, I'm just saying that the reason he can compete at WW depite being at a size disadvantage is because he's such an elite fighter, not because that his natural weight. Pac is not too small to compete at WW, but he is too small to be at his best against other guys who are natural WWs. I said the same thing against Cotto. Its not just some excuse I'm making becuase its Mayweather he's fighting. Just cause Pac can compete against these guys doesn't mean he's fighting them at his best.

Even against Hatton, at 140, Pacquiao was outsized. You have to understand that against Cotto, Pac's camp actually had to develop a strategy to keep the weight on and work hard to do that. Pac is not too small to compete against the WW guys. The reason for that is because he is so good that his size disadvantage hasn't been enough to make him a poor WW.

Thats pretty obvious. As good as Pac is at WW, he is even better and more devastating at JrWW. In fact, it'd be safe to say that the Pac that fought Oscar and Cotto could have made the 140lb limit without it having a detrimental impact on his ability. Can you imagine the beatdown Pac would have put on Cotto if Cotto was a JrWW and not a WW?

You must accept that if mayweather beats pac he is the better overall fighter. He has also beaten the p4p number 1 who has campaigned at 147 against a top WW and battered him.

Im sorry if mayweather beats him it has nothing to do with size but SKILL

Pac fans were screaming Cotto only had to cut two pounds for the catchweight. Now they go about saying Floyd is the bigger fighter but guess what - the difference between Pac's and Floyd's last weigh-in are only...you guessed it, TWO POUNDS!!!! :tired

Pacquiao's fans were sure he'd rip Floyd's head off... right up until Floyd agreed to fight him. Now suddenly they don't want to talk about how the fight is going to go, they just want to set up a foundation of arguments to support them when he loses so that he won't lose ranking, etc.. The only problem is that there isn't a foundation strong enough to support this level of bull****.

history will tell but tbh i think my opinion will be the consensus down the road. Pacquiao could be biting off more than he can chew and that not cause he's facing a fighter that is better... but rather because he is facing a fighter who is himself a really good fighter but also has a big size advantage. Not to mention that Pac is taking the fight imo too quickly after his last training camp.

People think these are excuses that I'm saying becasue its Pac vs Floyd but if you look at my posting history these are the kind of things I've always taken into consideration when analysing fights.

  13. Yeah, and that doesn't factor into account that PAC was fighting at welter where he needed more muscle to be competitive. The fact that he'd RATHER be fighting at 140 is not relevant to you?? The more meaningful difference between Floyds and Pac's last fights is PAC was fighting a guy above him in weight and Mayweather was fighting a guy below him. :rofl:rofl:rofl

first of all Cotto only had to cut 1 pound not 2,

secondly, Pacquiao had to really force himself to bloat himself up to fight Cotto. Eating according to his nutrisionist 5-6 times a day and on a 7000 calorie a day diet with protein shakes and supplements just to keep on the weight. What does that tell you? He's gonna have to do the same bull**** against Floyd, even more actually since its at 147 and not a catchweight.

I'm just pointing out the double standards. If it's so "easy" for Cotto to have cut two pounds, then the same two pound difference between Floyd and Pac shouldn't be of importance.
