Regardless of your opinion on the decision, do you consider Haney a great fighter?

So, let me get this straight. 36 year old Mayweather beat the brakes off 22 year old Canelo, who by the way, had 43 fights and several titles under his belt, and came into a welterweight fight weighing 165 lbs to a 150 lbs Mayweather. People claim that Canelo was too young and inexperienced. Now, when a 24 year old Haney defeats a 35 year old Loma ( Who people claim has skills on par with Mayweather) The same people say that Haney took advantage of a little old man. GTFOH.

I would have to see him bounce back from a KO loss to Rustico Torrecampo before I could say he was great exactly. Bouncing back from a close victory over Lomachenko ain't gonna do it.

I don't think that Haney is great and I doubt that he will achieve greatness. He is a very good fighter but his days at the top are numbered. Too many dogs waiting in the wings. Shakur talks a lot of smack but I haven't seen greatness from him either. Tank is the one who has the aura of greatness around him. He is a star, with charisma and knockout power. Plus, contrary to popular belief, he can box. People respect him like they respect Mike Tyson. His star is brighter than any 135 lbs fighter out there.

Haney seems to be growing into the complete fighter, but he lost that fight to a past prime Loma with one last hurrah in him.

No, he is not great and the way moves during close fight, it's like he is afraid of getting hit by smaller guys, makes him very fragile.

    Fragile boxers can't be great.

Just like dirty boxers can't be great (Ward for example)

He;s lucky he never fought Loma four years ago because Loma would've 100% knocked his ass out.

And like I said at the time, one Teofimo bomb from either hand and he's out cold. So he's lucky that one never materialized either.

I think he can be a great at 135lbs but will struggle like hell at 140lbs

    Quality operator but flawed

As long as they don't coddle him then it's cool.

If they coddle him even though he isn't marketable then he should retire to irrelevancy because nobody has time for him otherwise.

Loma rematch in Winter is the go to. Get it done. Lots of money in it also.

I think he's a great fighter yes but he's too early in his career still to be considered a great.

He could very well go on to have a career similar to what Floyd has achieved, go "unbeaten" and win world titles at 140 and 147 or he could bust in his next big fight and we'll be having a very different conversation.

I think he's very hard to hit clean, I don't really see anyone dropping him let alone stopping him.....do I like his style? Not particularly but I get as a boxer that's how you have approach certain fights.

Good, great, fantastic or horrible, regardless of how you are rating someone, it can only be based on what a fighter has achieved and who he's beaten. As of now, Haney hasn't achieved enough or beaten enough top fighters to be considered great from an ATG point of view.

He's great by now, but he will stop being great in the next future. It's next to impossible to be great at the end of a boxing career with that amazing lack of power. Basically because as you go up in weight you cant earn the respect of fighters that will bulldozer you.

Nevertherless, today, at his weight, he's a great fighter, no doubt.

He's a step below elite he's just good atm he needs a more convincing win against a tank/Shakur(not that I think it would happen) to become elite
