The guy was a skilled craftsman, great feet, slippery, more pop than given credit for, speed and high Ring IQ especially as pertains to a southpaw. There were times he could have upped the workrate and/or taken more chances. But he had so many components of a truly elite champ. Thoughts and appreciations...

McCallum, Graham, Kalambay have become famous as underrated(!) but Johnson was truly underrated, a great craftsmam.
