    I guess the only thing I can say to start the convo is - the dude had an insane career.

    If you look at his record, there was a period where he was stopped regularly. Then the rules were changed and, if you were stopped, there were mandatory 30 and 60 day medical suspensions and it became very rare for Reggie Strickland to be knocked out.

    I saw him fight live a couple of times on the club circuit back in the day. He was a survivor. He lived to hear the final bell so he could fight a week (or a few days) later and go the distance with someone else, haha.

    The absolute profile of a ‘professional opponent.’ Almost guaranteed to give all but the best prospects some rounds, a valuable thing when bringing a fighter up.

    I talked to him a bit at one of those fights and he was pretty cool. He not only fought a six-rounder, he brought about half the other opponents on the card and worked a couple of their corners.
