Prograis is considering leaving the tournament. This is the 2nd fighter who will probably leave the super series tournament. I think they are having financial trouble. Jose Ramirez was smart not entering the tournament because Top Rank is keeping him busy. Hopefully Regis could get some big fights.

Love to see Regis fight ramirez or loma. I like his chances vs either.

Yes the tournament has some serious financial issues, I even thought that they ended it.

I like Prograis a lot but I think his defence is pretty leaky.

Seems like it, but as far as I understand everyone got paid anyway.
Don't know how these contracts work, but I'm not sure you can just pull out when you think they will have trouble paying you after your next fight.
He's opening himself up for a lengthy legal battle this way.

This isn't about imaginary financial issues and fighters not getting paid, it's about the fear Josh ''Jockachenko'' Taylor has instilled in the other fighters in the tournament and their reluctance to face him. It's hardly a coincidence the only two fighters who are threatening to pull out just so happen to be the ones who are due to meet him in the semi-final and the final respectively, providing the later emerges victorious from their semi-final of course which seeing as they're the tournament favourite they are expected to. This Scottish magician is so formidable and fearsome he's got Beasts and werewolves quaking in their boots at the notion of sharing a ring with him. I got JT P4P#2 behind Loma.

Also makes my 50 pound bet on Taylor to win the tournament even more safe even though I had complete faith in the tartan tornado.

Great...well that's the Josh Taylor fight down the drain forever. We know there'll be ducking involved in that matchup if it doesn't happen in the WBSS. More likely ducks coming from Prograis than from Taylor. One of them will get their sprinting shoes on that's for sure. Such a shame if this is the case...

I rate both Barancyuk and Prograis as they can both really bang and they aren't an easy nights work for anybody. But Taylor is a special talent and he's the complete package IMO.

So does each fighter leave with whatever titles they hold then?

Yeah they got power but as you said Taylor got a lot of wrinkles to his game and looks a level above everyone else at 140.
