I'm not even going to give Haney credit, because Haney refused to close the show. Zero killer instinct. All Haney had to do was walk to him and he could've ended it. I'm not joking when I say that was the worst performance I've ever seen from a professional fighter. He showed worse than amatuer footwork. amatuer jab. amatuer head movement. he kept reaching with his left hand and left himsdelf open to counter shots over and over again. His straight left kept falling shorts every single time. that was such a awful performance he NEVER should fight again/
Yeah Regis was shocking. Every opponent he has beaten is disappointed and surprised they lost to him watching his performance against Haney.
I was very disappointed with Regis, all the talk leading into the fight and nothing when they actually stepped in the ring. Haney showed he's top 3 in the division.
Rogarou is a really likable guy and he's dangerous if you stand in front of him because of his punching power. That being said, as we saw in his previous fight, he cannot deal with rangy boxers or close the distance on them to save his life. He has very slow feet and a short reach and I've always got the impression he taught himself to box when I watch him train because it looks so amateurish and I don't mean amateurish as in an amateur boxing style. People were drawing comparisons between him and Loma when making predictions for this fight because they're both southpaws but the skill level disparity between them is astronomical. Loma has the best footwork in the game and the way he can slide in and out and close the distance whilst avoid getting hit going in and moving back out against way bigger, heavier and longer opponents with huge reach advantage is a thing of beauty and not a single one of you will be able to find a solitary instance of him not being able to land with consistency (or usually at will) in over 420 amateur and pro fights combined when he lets his hands go, and that's against every conceivable style, against slick boxers, pressure fighters, massive punchers, super fast athletic phenoms, defensive maestros etc. Conversely, Rougarou couldn't do that against a D level dollar store Haney in his previous outing. Loma has literally done it with ease every single fight. How often do you recall seeing Loma swinging and missing or looking frustrated because he can't land?
Adam Azim would KO Regis inside 8 rds .. that's the difference right there.. When Azim ready he going to KO Haney too or outbox him whatever Azim likes lol
I'm backing him all the way: Speed, size, length, power, athleticism, and skills. Hope he sparks that gigantic weight bully Haney out cold on his face.
He will don't you worry, this 147 Haney weight bully still a division lower than he should be anyway makes no difference.. as you rightly pointed out , Adam has all the natural attributes to beat Haney .. we just cooking right now the kid just needs a bit more experience.. but when he ready the 140 division in real trouble ..
Yes he's easily a 147 pounder, a big one at that For sure, Azim is blessed with all the physical attributes and tools to burst that hype bubble. I find him much much impressive to watch than Haney in that regard
It was bad but not even the worst of the last year Paul Butler against Inoue this time last year is as bad as it gets. And that was a unification
