I think the Loma experience put Haney on a different level. Think this Haney would beat Loma, especially at 140.

I don't, I think it was merely a case of him being a little stronger not draining himself down to 135 combined with Prograis who was never that great at cutting off the ring, being shot to ****. Although, clearly he'd have a size advantage over Loma at 140, far more profound than before. Let's be honest, Loma has no business fighting in a weight class that high. But even with all of those things against him, I still think he'd do enough to beat Haney. Because Loma is and will always be on another level skill-wise.

It's astonishing many keep acting like a natural 126 pounder with a tiny frame and the reach of baby kangaroo giving away 20lbs and nearly six inches in reach against a gigantic weight bully isn't an obscene amount of weight and reach to be giving away to a fighter who is clearly a natural 147/154 pounder.

It's not just the weight disparity it's huge weight and reach disparity and when you're fighting a way bigger opponent who holds those kind of physical advantages over you who knows how to use their range it's a big problem.

But it really wasn't a problem for Loma because his skill level is insane. Hence why he completely neutralized Haney's ''best jab in the game'' from the outset despite the huge reach disadvantage and Haney was reduced to landing pretty much body shots all night, whereas, conversely, Loma was lighting him up to the head and found it much easier to land upstairs against supposedly one of the slickest and most talented fighters in the sport who, again, weighed four divisions more than him, was given a 36 hour weigh in which is criminal for the biggest weight bully in the sport vs a leprechaun who has no right being up at 135, and had a massive reach advantage over him too.

Newsflash! That was the only reason the fight was even competitive and there's no argument against that. But Loma still deserved to win and the vast majority of fans across the globe had him winning. But gigantic weight bully Haney is the reincarnation of SRR and Loma is Campbell Hatton. And you guys wonder why people get pissed off with these ridiculous double standards?

Skill wise and stylistically Loma is a nightmare but he’s aging and Haney is young and will still improve. I scored their fight 7-5 I think, which means it was still quite close. I see Haney getting over that hump at 140, but it will never happen.

How does one lose the 12th round to a fighter who had been "bambi legged" for the previous three rounds, though?

He just doesn't have it. Something's missing.

Yes, let's give Loma extra credit because he has little t-rex arms. Vasyl might be a better fighter if he had greater arm length than an average middle schooler, but he doesn't.

if Haney is a natural 147-154 draining down to 135, that would explain why Loma controlled the second half of the fight. Shouldn't this so-called master boxer have been able to do more with a dehydrated, nervous, and fatiguing neophyte, though?

I don't think Haney is as big or as good as Crawford, who barely made the 147 limit against Spence. Haney's size is being overstated for the purpose of bolstering Loma, but his measurables aren't anything spectacular.

Haney is probably 2 years away from a challenge like that at 147.

He needs to fight more. No one wants to pay 70 bucks to see him though.
