This content is protected Wow man, this would be ****ing epic if Fast car could make this fight happen. Obviously Prograis has to go past Paro first, and Matias has to face Ergashev next (another epic fight). 135/140 talent pool is really ridiculous at the moment.
Subriel Matias will annihilate Regis Progais. Such a beating that it will not only shorten Progais career but also shave a couple years of his life too. Don't get me wrong. I like Progais, I even thought he did enough to even get a decision against Josh Taylor. Not a robbery, just a decision could have gone either way without any controversy. Matias is not only one of my favorite fighters, but he is also straight up a murderous puncher with a gas tank that lets him go nonstop. Maybe, just maybe, if Progais somehow has an unbreakable chin that we have not quite yet seen in it's full glory, can Progais survive into the late rounds. He gonna get stopped, that's for sure. I remember some years back, these two cats were going at it on Twitter, until they weren't, because Progais didn't want that smoke. I don't think any of the tope fighters want to get in with Matias and I think he will get ducked and avoided like the plague. Taylor, Progais, Lopez, Hitchins, Catterall, all of them.
I really love both of these guys, so therefore have no desire whatsoever to see this match. I fear for both men's health. That being said, The Rougarou stops him late.
Hell of a fight. I favor Prograis as he’s faced the better comp, but would not be surprised if Subriel beats him. An epic battle.
Another FOTY in the making, this would be a crazy back and forth action fight where either guy can get stopped. Hope they can make it happen later this year or early next year.
