Regarding your avatar. I was wondering to myself just the other day if Burt Reynolds was still alive and then literally the very next day or at most the day after that he died.
It's a sad time, hopefully there will be a weekend of repeats of Cannonball run and Smokey and the bandit.
To be fair he lived a hell of a life and 81 is a damned good innings. But I always liked Burt and enjoyed lots of his movies, many of which I grew up watching. RIP
Yeah it's awesome. Check out Southern Comfort if you haven't seen it as it's another great little movie with a similar theme to Deliverance. This content is protected Really nice score too This content is protected
Another oft forgotten gem with Burt Reynolds is Sharkeys Machine where he plays a grizzled detective going up against a drug addicted Hitman, and who could forget his turn as the Porn movie magnet in Boogie Nights.......good shout with Southern Comfort aswell.
I'm pretty sure I've seen that one. Like I said, I grew up watching a lot of his films but it's been a long time since I saw any of them so it's hard to remember which ones I have and haven't seen. Yeah he was great in Boogie Nights. More people need to see Southern Comfort. Great movie!
Cool, I think anyone who likes Deliverance will enjoy it. I've not seen it in a long time but I know I really enjoyed it when I did see it.
+1 for Southern Comfort. One of a great sequence of Walter Hill films - with the Warriors, Long Riders, and 48 Hours - such a mix of genres: Cajun wilderness horror / thriller, weird urban fantasy "going home" movie, western, and buddy cop action comedy.
Yeah I've seen all of those (albeit none for a long time), all of which are really good. The Driver is another one of his I recall really enjoying.
Crikey I'd forgotten about the Driver - that's possibly the best of the lot, Ryan O'Neal, the cowboy who ain't never been caught! Isabelle Adjani too mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! I guess in this context Hard Times should be mentioned as its a bare knuckle boxing film.
Yeah it's great from what I remember of it. Adjani was an absolute stunner in her prime This content is protected Not 100% sure if I've seen Hard Times but I think there's a very high chance I have.
