Oh, so there is a rehydration clause, after all... It shows once again that Egis Klimas just cannot be trusted. He's either incompetent/doesn't care of even worse.

I was flabbergasted when Canelo / Kovalev was announced without weight clauses. Now we know it was a LIE all along. I should have trusted my gut and known that there was shady business afoot, even when all the Canelistas were creaming themselves about how "brave" ginger is :ohno

F**** stinking s*** bags is what they are.Ive got a feeling this fight is a bit of farce.Seen the pics of Canelo at the weigh in his lips look dry as **** lol.how can this be?this ginger thing turd was beating up Cotto and Khan and likely weighed over 180lbs then.
Kovalev looked embarrassed at missing weight and I thought his demeanour looked a bit resigned to be honest.
I’ve read a comment about Canelo and Oscar parting ways after this due to the fisting charges that have been reported on the BBC.......

The only thing I am shocked at is that I drank the koolaid about Canelo not rehydration-clausing Kovalev and was genuinely impressed by it. Should have known.

Another b.s. from Canelo. This is why a lot of people starting to not like him and the number are going higher and higher.
The guy should have atleast 3 more loses in his record, 2 against GGG, and 1 from Lara/Trout. You can even make a case for 4.
But right there you have atleast 3 robberies.
Now another b.s. rehydratation clause, just like in his previous fight.
How can i respect this guy ? This is diva b.s. tactics.
Would never be fan of someone like Canelo, who is a f***** diva and putting all the stipulation on the world in his favor. And fighting the top guys where they are way over their prime, untill then he escaped them like plague.

Kovalev is used to this clause as IBF Champion so I don't see what big deal is. Career high payday for stipulations that he followed for years with no bother. He will still kick Canelo's ass

Moot point. Did Kovalev only have 6 weeks to train for his fights when he was the IBF champion?
Did he ever not make weight first when he was the IBF champion?

Canelo is a solid boxer, but this drops him way down on my list. And I'm pretty generous in giving leeway to fighters.

Canelo is a cheater. His whole reputation is based on cheating.Drugs, corrupt judges, catch weights and rehydration clauses. Not a true champion.

To those who think it does not matter, then please tell me why this in the contract?

Do not expect a KO.It will be close fight that will go to the cards.
Under normal circumstances, kovalev would win a decision. But in Vegas against Canelo, it is hard to believe.

Maybe I'm just a sucker for hype but I think the fight is amazing.

When Kovalev knocks Canelo out it will just be a case of he jumped too far.

If Clenelo is allowed once again to get away with this just like the other times he got away with dodgy business then hey kudos to him. Can't stop the cownelo show. Might as well just enjoy it!
No one to blame here and we know money talks so they can do as they please. He is the A -side. Kovalev is on his way out!

I actually wanna see Cownelo KTFO KOVALEV. That would finally retire him for good before he hurts himself further by not realizing he is a shot fighter and continues fighting is bad for his health.

If this is correct it just seems a bit of a stupid move by Canelo. It shouldn't be any problems for Kova to be 185 lbs in the morning (unlike 170 lbs for Jacobs), but if Canelo wins it will be one such thing that endlessly will be brought up.
