    Khan wanted lighter, he sure did, he tried to get the fight at 153 lbs. Problem is that's Jr Middleweight not Middleweight. That would be like Canelo asking Kovalev to fight him at 167 lbs.

    A catchweight would have been far more damaging to Kovalev.

    Canelo can't even get credit for fighting him at the full 175 pound limit.

    Golovkin wouldn't go up just one division without demanding a catchweight for Ward.

    Golovkin wouldn't fight Ward and he wouldn't fight this version of Kovalev either.

    It doesn’t have to be “defended” it’s common practice in fights with such size disparity.

    Same as what IBF usually mandates.
    But it´s only a problem when Canelo asks for it.

    Well I’m not saying I take the news as Gospel but the If the BBC are reporting Oscar you can bet he’s in a mess over this.Whats wrong with f***** man anyway?

    Yeah no. Canelo was consistently fighting at 155, so it would have been like Canelo asking Kov to fight him at 173.
