Kelly Pavlik won a great fight last night and I give him a hell of a lot of credit. But immediatley after the fight there were some downright silly posts made by both his most ardent supporters and his most objective haters. Kelly Pavlik is only 25 years old and obviously still has time to grow and mature. Why is it that we as fans cannot just give Kelly credit for fighting a great fight? Instead we have to either belittle him by pointing out, and in some cases, overexagerrating his flaws as a fighter. On the other side of the coin why do we have to start comparing him to Hagler or any other ATG. Kelly is just like anyother boxer, he has strengths and he has flaws. Blowing either out of proportion is childish and I for one give him credit for overcoming his flaws and using his strengths to become new middleweight champ. I hope you all can do the same.
