That's what Smokin' Joe does to you. He turns every fight into a brawl. And noone is better at brawling than Smokin' Joe.

Only thanks to Smokin Joe beating the fight out of him and ruining ''The Austrian Artisan's'' career.

mussolini talked boatloads of trash, and got so much smoke blown up his ass by his hangers on he began to believe his own hype. you'd think that with that massive, permanently jutted out mandible he had an iron chin. but even a shot, no legs underhim roosevelt put him down for the count. he was simply a fancy looking canoli shell, filled with bad ricotta.

hitler thought that this would be an easy fight and he can blitzkrieg stalin inside 6rounds, boy he was surpised by stalin's resilience and character. definitely FOTY! :good

He ducked the Japanese emporer and Mussolini, though.
But he was buddy-buddy with them, so it's possible these fights would had looked liked Byrd-Williamson.

Whoa, now, there's some serious underrating going on here! He may have looked for a time to his contemporaries like another Audley Harrison, but in fact, he ultimately made quite the comeback, and his sheer longevity (2,000 years) and dominance (most prolific religion in the history of humanity) are unmatched. Stalin and Hitler may have had more spectacular rises to the top and appeared more dominant in their own divisions at a given time, but they've long since dropped out of the picture; Jesus is like the Archie Moore of world history. And we certainly don't want to take out the Durelle tape right after Archie's gone down for the fourth time and miss the best part!

How about Japan's "battling" Hirohito. This flyweight won a high ranking by beating quetionable chinese and korean rivals, then rushed into a fight against world beater "uncle" sam. He took sam by surprise and had him down in the early going, but sam proved to be more powerful and took control of the fight midway through. Coming to the championship rounds, sam had already built a solid lead on points, but he didnt trust the judges and decided to bomb Hirohito out and win by KO. After this embarrasing defeat, Hirohito never climbed into a ring again.

"Battling" Hirohito is overrated. He ducked the big boys for years, just holding onto his Asia-Pacific WBU title beating up local bums. Believing his own hype he took on the likes of Big Sam, Chinchecker Churchill and Smokin' Joe he got his arse handed to him. Battling Hirohito just isn't a world class fighter.

He nearly caused a major upset against Chinchecker and Big Sam though to his credit.

Some more nicknames for Iron Adolf...

    Adolf "The Austrian Assassin" Hitler
    Adolf "The München Mauler" Hitler
    Adolf "The Boxing Dictator" Hitler
    Adolf "The Hitman" Hitler
    "Iron" Adolf Hitler

    Perhaps the best of all:

    "Hammerfaust" Adolf Hitler :D
