Floyd proved he deserves a shot at the 154 Lb title. He beat Canelo at 152... can he do it at 154? REMATCH!

Seriously, I want to see Floyd fight Sergio Martinez. Martinez isnt a huge MW. He used to be a WW. No more fights at WW and fights vs. guys who belong at JWW or below like Danny Garcia.

Anyway, Floyd fought well. Canelo tried to outbox Floyd and at tumes did a very good job... but he should have tried to use his size and strength advantages.

Dont get it twisted though, Floyd beat a much less experienced fighter who didnt fight "his" fight, had to drop 2 extra Lbs. in a weight class he was already struggling to make, and Canelo actually outboxed him at times.

Call me a hater all day if it makes you feel better... Mayweathet is a great fighter, but these people all of a sudden saying Mayweather is top 5 all-time based off of this win are a bit off base. Fight Martinez at 157! Dont wait too long, Martinez is getting old. If it doesnt happennext but does happen done the road... expect people to say, "Nayweather beat a washed up Martinez" if he would get the win.

Thats the way it is. If he wants to really win people over... do what the fans really want for once... no BS, no excuses, no controlling everything... Probably will never happen and that is why so many people will never like him.

Sergio got old overnight. Floyd would outclass him.

He didn't have to drop "2 extra pounds" - that is an absolute myth.

He weighed 153 in his previous fight against Trout - the one pound difference had absolutely no effect whatsoever.

Canelo had no issues with the weight.

If it had no effect, then why did he weigh 7 lbs more on fight night vs Trout?

    Martinez? Seriously?
Why? Floyd could destroy him and it would mean nothing.
Martinez is way past his best. All of the haters would say that Martinez was too old and washed up. Totally meaningless fight.

Take it you didn't spend $70 on it last night. I don't want to see that again. And if you think 1 pound will make a difference to a kid of 23 then your in dreamland

Actually I didn't spent $70 on it. I spent $65. (that was the standard definition price)

If 1 pound didn't make a difference, then why did Floyd need the catchweight in the first place? that 1 lb turned into a 7 lb different on fight night.

How do you know it wasn't a tactic to come in on that? If he was heavy and sluggish Floyd would of picked him off easily.

He wouldn't have been heavy and sluggish if he didn't have to change his diet to make 152. Did you see All access? he was eating cucumbers and what not. He wasn't getting enough protein because he had to lose weight.

Your talking about an extra pound. Not an extra weight class. As I say how do you know he didn't want to come in at 165? Canelo hasn't even mentioned it post fight. I don't see what an extra pound would have gave him to beat Mayweather, he couldn't even land on him. Unless an extra arm weighs a pound.

Isn't it funny how in the buildup all the focus was on how much Canelo weighed on fight night? All we heard about was how Canelo was really a light heavyweight and that's why the catchweight was justified. But now that the fight happened at the catchweight, now all of a sudden "it's just a pound" and a pound makes no difference. even though he was 7 lbs lighter on fight night. It wasn't just an extra pound, it changed Canelo's diet, it changed his whole preparation. It wasn't just a "pound". He had to get down to 152 lbs to defend a 154 lb title against a guy defending his 154 lb title.

The thing is, when people say this it really is like the floyd fans **** on him. Martinez and Pacman are millions of times better as opponents than Guerrero/Canelo/(enter anyone one else)

The class in experience showed when cotto put on a game performance, yes he lost what I thought was a close fight but he made floyd work

I'm sorry, as great as Floyd is, he should either retire, keep fighting up and coming new guys ala canelo, fight more seasoned titlists ala Guerrero or fight more elite fighters ala cotto. And in the last category there are two fights which would make big money esp PAC Man.

Tbh Bradley is also a good fight IMO, Bradley is underrated but lets see what happens when he rights JMM, that should be an excellent fight
