I just wonder, how much would Top Rank be willing to offer Peterson for a Bradely fight instead.... Play 'em Lamont!
Apparently they informally agreed a rematch when Peterson and Khan met in the hospital after the fight. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...e-year-in-dc/2011/12/11/gIQAD9j7nO_story.html No way a proper contract has been drawn up this fast.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/16139908.stm Frank Warran says Khan is underdog in a rematch, Peterson the favourite.
Unlucky Khan haters who wanted to see Lamont nab the belts and run. This is ultimately good for boxing.
He's an absolute wanker. I'm glad he lost and I hope Lamont tells him to go **** himself. He's in a position to demand nothing. Don't be shocked if the rematch doesn't happen. He turned Khan down once before remember. He doesn't do everything just for money. Not saying he won't accept a big payday but theres no guarantees with him. I hope he sits down thinks his options over and decides Khan can suck a dick
Was there no immediate rematch clause in the contract for Saturday's fight? It is common practice to have those provisions written up in the contract for the champ. Maybe that is how the deal was done so fast, all they needed was a date.
