I know, I know  just hard to get optimistic with us we've always made life hard for ourselves. As bad as they are away were dodgy at home but we've started well. Looking to be compact between lines, Strurridge defensively is a worry though tracking full back.

Tbh i hope we keep AVB on, players are the ones that need to go. Transitional season IMHO.

Yeah Soldado's class! Got to limit his supply in and around box.

Definitely. You have to question whether or not Abramovic sees it that way though. I'm sure AVB informed him that he would attempt to implement his own philosophies, and that he required time to do so, but Abramovic is a bit unpredictable like that. I'm not sure he has the patience, despite the fact that - in my opinion - Villas-Boas could probably make it work given a season. Will Roman be able to accept 3rd in the league and elimination tonight?

I'm normally never one to moan about Roman but of late been fed up with his lack of backing to managers and treatment of staff (Wilkins etc), which is my worry with AVB he's got to have time to build. I must admit AVB has impressed in some area's but been extremely naive in others. Evolution not Revolution is the order for next 12-15 months. He's learning on the job he's young and forward thinking coach.

I'm glad tonight he's started with a deeper line, a more compact mindset looking to screen off the passes into Soldado and limit them to speculative efforts.

Rambo! what a engine that kid has!.
