i see the angle ur coming from, and i agree, but what if the trainer was putting pressure on Margarito, what if the Mosley fight was the first time he done, although IMO it wasn't, im just trying to say to much speculation to take away some mans only source of income. Maybe i phrased that first post abit
    wrong.

Anyway, thats in the past, got a great rematch to look foward to in the future:thumbsup

Yeah I agree with this. Like I said earlier it's easy to criticise but none of us know the full situation.

The fight's guaranteed to be great though so let the build up continue :good

Don't see it LP. Don't see Capetillo being able to force him to wear them it was probably more along lines ''your out of shape, your weakened, wear this and this will help you win''. Margarito knows in his heart that he was cheating and knows what was going on hands. It's a rock hard substance any man even a novice would go ''****ing hell that's gonna really hurt him'' but Margarito ain't a novice he's a pro and knows that was illegal and knows it could of killed.

He shouldn't be allowed back into sport IMO.

Think Margarito beats him again and I can see Cotto retiring after this defeat in all honesty.
On the handwrap incident im gonna get called an idiot and whatnot but I dont think Margarito knew about the wraps,if he did then he should be banned for life but I dont think so.

i reckon, i mean he looked shite against Mayorga but pulled it out the bag, comes out blazing against Margarito, then looks shite against Mayweather albeit a long lay off, specially as he's got history with it aswell, but lets not get all this now:good

I hear that, tbh the fight was made in December and fought in January 30th IIRC. I think Margo suited him aligned with being weight drained (living the life b4 camp) plus against PBF and Pac he had to do blood tests so who knows. After his Pac display i lost respect for him and really he's another guy who is a known cheat. Can't respect that...

Cotto is a man of the people and hope he beats Margarito to submission on December 3rd.

I pointed out during the Mayweather build up, that Shane Mosley's body had changed. He looks puffy in the face, and his muscles looked puffy and bloated. I don't know what this was due to, maybe it was age or preparation. But if you look at the video of him vs Margarito, there is a distinct change in his body-type and physique.

I don't think it was down to Steriods, but still he looked a different type of fighter.

i just think Margarito's style is wrong for Cotto, he dosen't like being pressured and he'll be in his face non stop. Both fighters have a big point to prove in this fight if all great fighters have 1 great performance left, Cotto's has to be now. The first 6 rounds of the first fight Cotto looked a different class and he should try simialr tactics, just needs to be abit quicker on his feet, and we don't know whats left in Margarito after the beating from the hands of Pacquiao

It's funny I was watching Rhodes/Moore again earlier today and in a way, I think Cotto could do with adapting his gameplan a bit like Ryan did in that he needs to take more sting out of Margarito early on.

Not saying Miguel's gonna be able to stop him but in their first fight, Cotto outboxed him easily for 6 rounds, but didn't do any damage, therefore Margarito was able to take over and put it all on Cotto late.

I know that's pretty obvious but just thought it was an interesting comparison.

I think he should of stood ground more. He wasted energy with far to much lateral movement and lots of defensive movements. He allowed Margarito to attack and never sunk shots to body to stop him.

Margarito likes to get you up to ropes and work by landing his gloves on you...anyway anyhow (wraps??). Cotto needed to keep him centre ring and turning onto shots and mix the power up but he handed initiative to Margarito. To many fighters go on defensive think they need to use whole of ring but they sometimes give up to much room and allow fighter to come onto them. Miguel should of made Margarito work to get him to ropes at the least.

Was a poor gameplan for a 12 rounder with a fighter like Miguel who's stamina has never been the best. I expect Manny to provide a different plan and also a few technical refinements will benefit Miguel defensively and offensively.

    Can't wait.

    Just SCENE this

    By Jhonny Gonzalez

WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto says there is nothing to*discuss in relation to a possible rematch with Antonio Margarito on December 3 at New York's Madison Square Garden.*Margarito gave Cotto his first*professional loss with a TKO in eleven in 2008.*Cotto doesn't expect anything to take place until he sits down with his promoter, Top Rank, and reviews the terms for the rematch, and the two sides reach an agreement. Top Rank has set aside December 3 for the rematch and Margarito has verbally agreed to the fight.

"Until we have a direct conversation with the*promoter,*we*don't know anything.*I can speculate and say what's being*said*in the press, but personally, I have not had any communication with Top Rank, so there is nothing concrete yet," said Cotto to Jose Gordian. "We are still waiting to find out*the next move*for my career, and until that*occurs, we can not discuss anything."
