Yeah, and how he acted after promising rematches to Mercer and Vitali, right?

Mercer there was no belts on the line

Vitali Lewis was obviously on the slide and fat. Vitali still got his face rearranged in a dog fight

That would be the most likely outcome.

It doesn't change the fact that he acted like a pure hypocrite, promising rematches to both Mercer and Vitali and choosing the different direction instead

Could it be that he is done with boxing? He seemed not to care.

Even let ruiz hold his belts at press conference wtf was that?

Seemed not to care that he lost and not pushing for rematch.

Could it be that it was all just too fast too soon?

I also think that wlad fight has ruined him he has looked shaky in every other fight since then.

I just think he should have had 5 more fights before facing someone like wlad, get rounds in face some punchers. He was compleatly inexpierenced going in wlad fight.

Maybe its just that he got money and lost hunger.

    Lets see rematch.

Hes done. He looked like he just quit at the end of that fight. Reasonable thing to do for the average guy but the greats are not wired that way.

I expect him to mount a comeback as there is a lot of money on the line. Unless his heart's truly in it though, he will be exposed again.

    Was just very odd.

The way he boxed right from the start he just looked disinterested. After the knockdowns he was in complete shock and soon realised he had no answer. Hence the daft questions to McCracken between rounds. He was shell shocked and just didn't know how to respond.

In the end he just accepted the defeat, didn't seem upset, angry or emotional just glad to be out of there.

Maybe he has become soft believing his unbeatable, just looked half assed in his performance, his attitude before the fight and after.

Hopefully the loss does him good, wakes him up and he can change some things and come again.

Or maybe this is the begining of the end.

I’ve been thinking this too. Wilder and Ruiz are both PBC fighters and the belt organizations usually are on-board for unification.

And even if Matchroom manage to get the rematch with Ruiz made, in all likelihood the IBF will insist Ruiz fights has mandatory and strip him for fighting Joshua. Whichever way this pans out, AJ is not getting back all the belts he took into the ring on Saturday....

Some people here are terrible. These are not fans. If you fight strong opposition you will eventually lose. Whether because the opponent is better than you or you have bad night or it`s a lucky punch, there is a possibility that happen to you.
But how people change their guard is disgusting to me. If you are a real fan you are fan in the wins, but you are also a fan in the loses and should be supporting the guy you root for, not turning on him and straight hate towards him. But today kids are like this.
It`s a tough period for Joshua and atleast now he will see who can really count on it in his team.
It`s happen with every fighter. You have to accept it, whether you like it or not.
Wilder is still nto KOed, just because he is fighting nobody. He have just 2 good matches with Fury, when he losed and with Ortiz and he was close to KTFO and referee save his a***.
Wilder can make it to 60-0 if he continue to fight bums.
He is obviously running from quality fighters and he and WBC do everything in their power to protect him.
And his statement towards Joshua after the lose is a complete garbage. No Champion should behave like this.
We see how humble Joshua is in defeat. He is a real champion to me and i`m sure he will get his titles back.

You can't force Anthony Joshua to take the rematch again, Andy Ruiz will be more comfortable & KO Joshua even earlier.

Andy Ruiz is the superior boxer, it wasn't a lucky one punch KO that caused an immediate stoppage (Unlike the 2 LL KO losses).

Ruiz already tweeted Eddie Hearn asking who's next? If the rematch is offers Ruiz will take it. Why wouldn't he?

He believes he will win and will make a fortune doing so.

Joshua shouldn't want this rematch. As someone else posted, he should wait for Ruiz to lose (which he will soon) and then fight that person. He honestly might have a better chance of beating Wilder than Ruiz. The only clearly worse opponent for him is Fury, and maybe Usyk.
