So much money in it. Probably. Also, Floyd probably thinks he can do the same thing again.

There won't be a rematch with those ridiculous scorecards. Floyd has to face GGG now, he needs to step up from Pac. No bums like Khan, Thurman etc. should be an opponent for Floyd now.

The GGG fight has to happen!

The fight was not competitive enough to warrant a rematch.

I don't think so, not in September ... maybe if Floyd wins No. 49 and decides to come back at some point next year and go for No. 50.

The big thing here is it took an incredibly huge pie (money) to be divided up for all the parties -- fighters, promoters, networks -- to work this out. The pie for a rematch is much smaller because it wasn't a great fight that the casuals will line up to see again, and there's no real controversy. Without the huge pie to divvy up, there's no incentive to work out all those details for a second time ... more money in it for Showtime/Floyd, etc., to fight someone else I'm thinking.

Only reason this happened to the satisfaction of all the parties involved was because it was an unprecedented windfall. That wouldn't be the case with a rematch.
