This is why I feel bad for Clottey. He'll never get a rematch and this is probably the last real big fight we see him in. REMATCH! REMATCH! REMATCH!
I would be shocked if there was a rematch in this fight. I thought that it was too dangerous a fight to start with.
When someones on the backpedal and getting out of the way. That doesn't mean they're out boxing their opponent. unless they out land their opponent. Which even in the last few rounds where Miguel was moving more he wasn't landing more than Clottey.
Should there be a rematch? Yes. Will there be a rematch? I doubt it. Remember Bob Arum threw Clottey at Margarito and then forgot about him for a long time.
yea hopefully in the undercard of pac-floyd superfight Pac vs Floyd-main event Cotto vs Clottey co-main event that would be a nice fight card
Rematch yes, I hear a lot of people here saying that Clottey did not throw enough punches but then how come he out threw (<-----not a word i think lol) and outlanded Cotto? i know the fights are score rnd by rnd and thats why Cotto got the descision but man was that a fight. I belive a rematch will be a good option for both, Could Cotto do better have he had good vision on his left eye? Can Clottey close the show like he had the chance to?.....rematch baby!! :deal
If that head but didn't happen, Cotto would have been more effective in the fight. When Cotto gets cut, he starts moving away excessively and that's the wrong way to fight Clottey. There should be a rematch because Clottey did enough to win but how much of that was due to the bad cut?
I'd like to see a rematch, because I think that without the headbut there would be no cut, and without that nasty cut, it would be a completely different fight. Cotto couldn't see the right hand coming. If he could see it coming, Clottey would be far less effective, and Cotto would be far more aggressive. Cotto KO10 Clottey in a rematch. I think that is a safe bet. He just beat the man with one eye!
Good observation, i have also noticed that about Cotto, Yes ha can box no doubt about it but he just so much better when he sits on his punches, perhaps working on improving hi defense will prevent this in the future
