my thoughts were that what ever happend neither can fight any other way pavlik stalks and throws long straight punches while taylor jabs and is sweet with his moves but is easy to get to...anyone can hit him.

and when you have 2 guys who have great technique and skill that are easy to get to...fight of the year stuff comes out of it.

ivan robinson-arturo gatti was the same

both had a jab body punches and an alright defence when they became defencive but could be hit.

I wouldn't mind seeing it - I think we will see it eventually, just not in their next fight.

Yes there should be,just not Taylor's next fight - although I think the outcome will be the same......Pavlik being the winner that is.

Im sure that rematch will happen and must happen. Pavlik was down in the second round and was behind in the scorecards. The rematch will show who is real man.

in a rematch, i just don't think taylor can handle pavlik's power. in this fight, pavlik proved he has a much better chin than taylor and nothing will change that fact in a rematch. taylor may try to box but eventually pavlik's pressure and power will overwhelm him in the latter rounds.

2nd fight - Pavlik keeps his hands up, doesn't get recklessly caught. Taylor tries to stay on his bike more, which lasts until Jermaine De La Hoya tires, as he always does, and Pavlik once again scores a HUGE KO/TKO.

I would love to see a rematch, just so all the Taylor 'huggers can once and for all be laid to rest.
