I heard he had a chin of concrete and a wreakingball for a lefthook.
He lost to Benn and Eubank and then to Robin Reid.
Did anybody see the Reid bout?was it close at all?

From what i remember it wasn't close. Reid was a clear winner on points. In all fairness, henry Wharton was just a slight league below Eubank, Benn etc. He was a very tough fighter. He did slightly better against Benn, than he did Eubank. He was from Gypsy stock as well.

Henry is a lovely bloke and even given me a few boxing stuff of his once, he absolutely blew his World Title chances on the night. He hurt Benn near the end of their fight but was miles behind on points and Eubank in my opinion had one of his best performances against Henry.

A solid honest pro who's worked is overshadowed by Benn and Eubank. But at his best, he was a top 10 fighter in the world who could give any 168lber a test.

Wharton was quality.... good movement, lovely left hook and a great chin. At his peak he was of similar standard to someone like Danny Green now.

He did indeed have a chin made from titanium.
