You're a stubborn one aren't you. No one did better than 9-3 vs Floyd since DLH.

We don't need to fight over this. Why can't you just concede that I'm making a fair point? You're trying too hard to prove me wrong at every turn. I'm not trying to prove you wrong, I'm just sticking to my guns and making solid, important points for you to consider.

    Hi Shadow.

Pacquiao would have destroyed Clenelo at 152. His movements would have given Clenelo fits and grasping for air as his stamina/conditioning was suspect back then. Plus he was drained.

This could be worthy of a separate thread once it gets going

You're entitled to your opinion, but no one else came as close as Canelo did to beating him since DLH. And the only other fighters throughout his career that did as well on the cards as Canelo did were Maidana in the first fight (same scores as Canelo) and Castillo 1 and 2.

Which version, the one armed, blood drained Pacquiao who fought Floyd? LOL.

Do you genuinely think Canelo did better than Maidiana?

Ignore the cards for a moment

2009-2012 pre-KO. And I don't mean it as disrespect. Clenelo was drained at 152.

Good question, Maidana had more success, and did better, but he was also fighting a lesser version of Mayweather that was much easier to do better against.

I don't think he would have destroyed him. It would have gone the distance but Prime Pac outpoints that drained version of Canelo absolutely. Prime Pac destoys Mayweather. 154 fully fit version of Canelo, the version who fought Trout or Lara, does much better vs Prime Pacquiao.

On a more inquisitive note, how would a 2013 fight bw the then Canelo at 154 and Pacquiao have turned out?

Pacquiao and wide. Canelo hates a mover and struggled with angles. Only in the last 4 years he’s mastered the art of trapping a fighter.

When he can’t he is countered quite easily himself - see success from BJS and Floyd.

Not to mention volume, Pacquiao throws more than any fighter that Canelo had fought at that stage of his career.
