Thanks for the information. It's too bad Johnson wasted his potential by being out of shape (that Klitschko beating was relentless), but nice to see him taking on a young up and comer.

 

Kirk Johnson doesnt deserve a good purse. he should be happy anyone wants to see him at this point

 

As much as I like Kirk, this is true. He just needs to get into the ring and do something again. The money will come later.

I usually refrain from making fat jokes about fighters, but in Johnson's case, he so completely wasted his talent by never being in shape that I don't feel bad about it.

On a serious note, not even sure Malik Scott doesn't beat him at this point. He hasn't fought in 2 1/2 years.

 

Kirk came in horrible shape for his fight with Vitali and he has never lived that down. But that was the exception really. Sure he should fight at about 235, but lots of heavy weights don't fight at their best weight.

I think its time to let it go.

 

The Goossen Tutor website has Malik Scott fighting Raphael Butler, so it looks like Kirk (yet again) has turned down a fight.

If you don't box, you have to stop calling yourself a boxer. He needs to get in there with somebody. After he fought Mora, the network said they would televise the rematch. That would be a match worth making.
