Usyk has one of the most proven chin of all times, from his amateur, semi-pro and pro careers.

You know who doesn't by the way? Fury!

For the brief moments that Wilder stopped stumbling around and stepped into his punches, you could see how he could maybe take control of the action.

...But Wilder's legs are shot now. It's gone.

I didn't follow Usyk in the amateurs, but the only time I can remember Usyk being obviously hurt was near the end of the 3rd or 4th round of his fight w/ Gassiev when Marat laid a really big shot on him. His head cleared for the next round, though.

He's got a very good chin and it isn't often tested.

 

I suspect you are right, but we're basing this on a small sample size. Usyk never gets caught and he's expert at taking the sting out of his opponent's punches. His chin just isn't tested often.

 

Usyk can box perfectly for 12 rounds, that's the problem everyone has with him.

 

I didn't see anyone on this card that would have worried Usyk too much. Most don't have the ring IQ or skills to deal with him.

 

Definitely none of the heavyweights, but Opetaia vs. Usyk would be a hell of a fight.

 

Agreed, although I think Opetaia needs some harder opponents. Usyks ring IQ, foot work and delivery angles were devastating at cruiser.

 

Wilder couldn't pull the trigger because Parker stayed out of range. Parker fought a great fight. Followed a well developed plan, disarmed and muted Wilder's offense.
