I used to hate this guy with a passion, he was just a loud mouthed nobody who kept calling out and trashing Joe Calzaghe

Now hes the WBC Champion about to unify with the WBA belt and has now fought 6 world class fighters in a row with a 5-1(1) record

Congratulations Froch and good luck tomorrow night :happy

Yep i remember when myself and a few were in a minority he really divided opinion with his outspoken interviews. Froch has done us proud win lose or draw tomorrow he'll give as good as he gets.

    That said War Froch!!

Hated because he was a loud-mouthed nobody, loved because he's a loud-mouthed somebody.;)

I'm not really a ''fan'' I suppose, though I'm certainly an admirer of his. Kessler II in Nottingham would be great.

He's been a confident ****er all these years. He hasn't changed a bit since he's won world titles and beaten world class opponents. Really hoping he pulls it off tomorrow. War froch!

Froch was, is and always will be delusional. Froch was, is and always will be technically horrible. His skills have improved a little bit, he was especially bad in the early days - often flat footed, wild with a spectacularly bad defence. Now, he has taken to some nice moves like the counter uppercut but still a rather terrible fighter on a purely technical basis.

What happened unbeknownst to us (but perhaps Carl knew) is that Froch has a quality chin, some pretty decent power, a never say die attitude and some serious dedication that has seen him develop a rather good engine. If it wasn't for these intangiables, Froch would be a domestic level fighter. The same one who struggled with Adamu and Magee but without the heart or power to keep them honest or turn the fight around. Without such gifts, both fights would lead to the dreaded red boxrec L and he wouldn't be in a position to fight it out for the WBC, WBA, Ring and Super 6 trophies.

Carl once described himself as a cross between the jaw droppingly brillaint Roy Jones and the pin point devastatingly accurate Thomas Hearns.

Delusions of grandeur but look where we are today. Who would have thunk it!

Yeah, in the early days I wasn't really a fan of his - always talking **** when he was taking on the likes of a shot Robin Reid but since stepping up to world class he's really backed everything up.

Hope he pulls it off :happy

Froch does look in incredible shape. He always looks good but he may even looked even more ripped and packing then ever. His back, shoulders, abs, obliques, xmas tree, just look insane.

I was always a fan. I sensed he had a touch of class about him when he beat Porras and was fighting on BBC 2. Likewise with his persona and arrogance; there was always that tongue in cheek element to his boasts and twinkle in the eye.

i hated him too but it was because at the time i was pretty big on calzaghe and he would always bad mouth zaggy every chance he got.

Does anyone else actually think that Froch's arrogance and self confidence will win him the fight tomorrow? I just have the feeling that he is that fit and that strong that even if he is losing every round his self confidence and conditioning will help him find a way of stopping ward.

I actually used to like Carl Froch more than I do now, although I'm still a fan. But I'm just glad he's finally getting the hype and recognition he's deserved for a while.

Yep, I've always been a Froch fan, I can remember back then when people thought he was just an average nobody, I listed him in my top current favourite fighters.

Despite his poor technique, he just finds a way to win. That's not to say I think he'll beat Ward, I don't think he will (inside game will beat him) but he is a great fighter and easily on a level with any other British fighter past or present.

I wasn't big on him in the beginning (not just because i'm a big Calzaghe fan). But he's grown on me a lot. I've seen different dimensions and i really like his moxie, confidence and mental strength. How can you not respect him.
