It is getting very little. I mentioned this fight at work the other day and out of the 25 people I spoke to, do you know how many even knew this fight was taking place this weekend?

    None.

The Haye/Wlad fight was the first time in years I had seen so many casual and non-boxingl fans take an interest in a heavyweight fight. I was in a packed pub watching it and people were literally laughing at how terrible it was.

Holmes ERa=DEAD Era. Outside boxing fans people had absolutely no clue who Larry Holmes was. He does not exist.

"We were spoiled about 80's" Good grief:patsch

You can't separate the lack of interest in Heavyweight championship fights from the heavyweight champions themselves. Yes, they have a high KO percentage, but every fight goes a predictable 9+ rounds before they finally do what Foreman or Lewis would have done in 4 or less.

There is no reason to watch a live Wlad fight. His joke of a performance against Haye proves it. Vitali will occasionally bang, but gets lumped in with his overly cautious brother.

Wlad/Haye was the final nail in the coffin of this era's heavyweight division.

On a side note, people blame Wlad for changing his style with Steward.

But most are the same shitting on him because of his lost against Brewster and Sanders.

When he was exciting you were complaining how he was a glass chin bum...(and still hold it against him)

    Can't have it both ways...

If boxing fan had more respect for boxer even when they lose...who knows...

This. I am not a fan of either Klitschko, per se, but I will watch a Vitali fight because he actually fights, which is apparently a novel idea to Wlad. Wlad is a complete disgrace as was shown in the Gaye fight when both of them were too terrified to engage. I mean, for ****'s sake he had a Glass Jawed, blown-up CW standing stock-still in front of him with no guard up and he did nothing but throw jabs that whiffed over and over again.

Older Bro is a bit more aggressive but taking a week to KO Adamek (and Adamek is the only heavy I like right now). . . really? Then you get fan boys on here saying he carried him, or he is sadistic because he supposedly wanted to continue punishing him. God it was worse than Wlad v Haye at least there was a chance that someone's glass jaw would be broken.

The scariest part of the who thing is that no one the top ten is any more exciting. I am so glad HBO and the other networks do show that **** any more and save the money on the lighter weight classes

Lennox was fun to watch, so what is Wlad's excuse?

You hear in every fight Steward Pleading with Wlad "to get this guy out" but what you get is; paw, paw, lean, paw, paw, lean. Manny made him a better boxer but he ain't no fighter! At Least Big bros is a bit aggressive

Lewis/Tua was the last HW fight that got major coverage and PPV..

I actually expect Vitali/Chisora to be a good scrap, shame its not getting media attention. But than again, two non-Americans in a fight outside of America, do the math.

The LA based Vitali/Arreola in contast actually got decent attention, did big tv numbers, was fun for what it was, and had the usual hosts of celebs in attendance you see at a Pacman fight.
