"That’s a good fight, Floyd and Cotto. He(Mayweather) thinks that Cotto is an easy opponent, but he’s not. Cotto is a good boxer, he’s strong. He needs to train hard, because Cotto is strong, very strong....Cotto has a big chance to win"

Pacquiao also added that Cotto had given him his toughest fight in years. Just to give you some background on this fight, Cotto was near the lowpoint of his career. He had recently lost to Margo, he had an ugly split with his Uncle, his strength and conditioning coach was his trainer, he had come off a rough fight with Clottey where he arguably lost, and he was forced to defend his title at a catchweight that he felt would drain him. Of course, Pacquiao would go on to pummel Cotto in that fight. Despite everying going against him though, Cotto was able to leave quite the impression on his foe.

Cotto seems to be the type of fighter that, win or lose, he's going to let his opponent know that they've been in a fight. Mayweather better train hard, and be ready for a tough fight. Because if a drained Cotto, lacking confidence, and a real trainer can leave that sort of impression on Pacquiao, imagine what non drained, confident Cotto with a real trainer can do.

lol emmanuel is lying about Cotto(e) being his hardest fight

he acts like no one remembers how he went into the corner for a long time to pray for how he managed to make it out of there after beating margo(e). Clearly said it was his hardest fight ever. Ended up lying in medical for days after the fight due to bruised ribs

cotto is in a good winning streak in a very deep and good division that is 154. beaten the dangerous two-legged foreman, revitalized mayorga who is in his prime and the rejuvenized two-eyed margarito.

floyd is in a tough fight against a prime and "repaired goods" cotto which is in much better shape than he was back in 2008.

yea he wrote that Tijuana was the best he has ever fought in his book. This was written after he beat Cotto(e) and before he fought Clottey.

then Juan got the down played treatment
