Remember when people said ggg would beat ward?

Triple G is more skilled than Kovalev but he is a natural middleweight. I don't think he would fair well at all at light heavy. He's also 35 and judging from last fight slightly in decline.

As for the race lunatics on this site Andre Ward is biracial. He's both black and white. His white Irish father got him started in the sport and trained him. No one race gets to claim him so stop with that BS. He's an American.

 

There's a very big difference between unbeaten and unbeatable.

Kovalev showed Ward is definitely beatable.

 

First HOW can you state that Ward is more talented? Based on what? Based on the style GGG shows to attract fans? Ward is definitely talented but not more talented than GGG. It basically shows that you know nothing about GGG. He is the silver Olympic medalist, world champion and has a way better resume as an amateur than Ward while Ward's only serious amateur achievement is under question, he was basically gifted gold Olympic medal as Ward clearly lost to Uzbek fighter on the way to gold medal and shouldn't have had any medal at all. Ward definitely has huge protection. Ward is more talented in low blows, headbutts and elbowing. Clinches won't be an issue to GGG as he is quite good in wrestling.

It took a lot more to achieve what he is for GGG than for Ward. You take GGG current position as an easy achievement but it is not. He is not an American fighter, he doesn't have any protection, he doesn't have any huge national group of fans behind him, he was never given any fights easy unlike Ward (who received Super Six organised to fit him), majority of top fighters were avoiding him and it took a lot of effort and time to change that and still it not easy for him, unlike Ward he was never receiving a home town advantage or any advantage at all. Saying after this that Ward is more talented than GGG is totally incorrect, you don't get to position where GGG is without a huge talent.

In regards "Krusher takes on real threats consistently", may I ask you what kind threats are you talking about? Old Bhop? Are you serious? Who else? None of Kovalevs opposition was a threat. He was not able to organise fight with Stevenson. Ward the guy who is from lower division. What kind of threat was he for Kovalev? First fight was posing ZERO threat to Kovalev. Yet Ward again was protected as he was all along his career and judges gifted a win to Ward allowing him to fight dirty and somehow managing to give him UD while he clearly lost. Only the second fight was a risk since judges could rob Kovalev and it basically happened. But did Kovalev had any other options? Also some people were claiming that Kovalev was loosing before that. He was not and that punch that wobbled Kovalev was after a low blow.

GGG has huge chances of winning Ward even with all judges support that Wards receives.

 

what are you actually laughing at??? Ward ANd Kovalev are overatted to what fans see.....CLEAR as day....GGG knocks out Ward UNLESS he is holding back on ANy fights i didnt see?


Reality tells me a better more focused guy clobbers Ward and really Kovalev never stood out as a TRUE crusher.....he actually had worse reaction times than i ever would drinking a 70% proof bottle ...and this guy trained for this right???


GGG vs Ward equals GGG win by K.O......and thats after he knocks out Canelo ,in what im assuming from what ive seen will happen.

 

Exactly, i always thought Kovalev is overrated, he is nothing special, just a one dimensional slugger with a good jab whereas GGG is a true crusher and not as mentally weak as Kovalev.

Kovalev is not really that hard to figure out...not really sure what that hype is...i think maybe i missed something?

 

Kovalev was exactly the type of fighter who is perfect for Andre Ward.

Andre Ward looks good against fighters without ring iq who can't adjust like Kovalev, GGG at super middleweight
would be a completely different and much harder fight for him.

Krusher has excellent ring IQ.He just got mad. not good against a matador like Ward.

Kovalev has not only a bad ring iq, i don't think he has a ring iq at all, he is one of the most one dimensional fighters

i dont really follow these guys but KNOW what im looking at as i can tell ANYONE how far they will go....yea hes good but i see a basic fighter...maybe bigger than other guys in his class?....hes slow/not remotly hard hitting as most suggest and he waits ( gives pauses to get hit like hes zoned out) to get hit easy......
