To be fair those people were laughed at already on here, no poster with a grain of sense thought GGG could do anything at HW.

Casuals often don't realize that weight-classes matter (or even exist lol). The number of times someone has told me that Floyd would beat Ali at HW ....

 

Learn to tell the difference between true fans and trolls exaggerating to get a rise out of haters.

 

They were laughed at by the "GGG haters." They were not laughed at by the "GGG fans." Actually, many who repeatedly made the claim or claims close to it are some of the most frequent posters on this site, which seem to be in some sort of clique with each other always quoting each other and saying good things, agreeing with each other, etc. It's the internet in 2017. Nobody quotes anything to agree with it. Could just be one or two guys... But, many are among the most frequent posters here so what you're saying isn't true.

Average sized middle v fighters 2 weight classes up and elite, not really fare is it ?? Canelo was not a draw. If it was close enough for a draw Canelo would've got the win if legit !

Like when Golovkin fought an average sized 154 or when he fought an above average sized 147 in two of his last three fights?

A draw is not some absurd robbery if the average score is 115-113 Golovkin.

I for one certainly came on to criticize the fanboys whenever I saw a crazy thread like that. Many times we Golovkin-fans were complaining that these wild exaggerations were fuelling Golovkin-hate.

Also, most of the frequent posters that you were talking about were just trolling / baiting. Some frequent posters who dislike Golovkin are also prone to trolling in "revenge" as well.

 

You seem to be missing it. Very few fighters have consistently knocked out opposition at the level Golovkin had been doing it. Golovkins power, or rather his ability to apply what power he had, was proven in the Murray fight. Elite big punchers haven't been able to do that to Murray before and big punchers in the next division up couldn't do it either. And to say Golovkins power isn't lethal at the elite level is like Saying Mike Tysons power was overrated because he failed to knock out Tillis, Green, or Smith. Golovkin has fought two top level talents, both with solid defense and physical attributes.

 

Look at all this damage control as if most of you weren't on that koolaid. This fad is worse than I originally thought. Dudes are back tracking now pulling this move.
