Mugabi a solid puncher, but really at 154. He shouldn't be mentioned with the G man and Jackso. To be fair Jackson stands alone !

I don’t know the G-man might be on par with him. Both dudes could whack.

I agree with all that. I rate Saunders less than most, for whatever that means.

GGG has passed his prime, if he was 5 years younger. No way Canelo will fight him.
GGG can hurt HWs, but not stop them back then.

He's a great puncher. Most great punchers don't face multiple HOF'ers during their peak. Many of the best also didn't KO their best opponents. Golovkin is great, no question. Consistency and longevity of success is tremendous on paper... However he didn't fight a top 5 opponent until David Lemieux. David Lemieux. That's a nice victory. Very, very, very poor for a titlist to take that long to do so. But nice... Golovkin is always discussed in a long term historical manner. Placed against history. His place in history. Often times that is what discussion leads to or is ultimately the motive behind conversation on a forum like this of boxing junkies. And I think there is generally a large discrepancy between debating sides in what is believed or to what extent measured, etc.

Yeah. Pretty much every single person had Golovkin winning...

    ...115-113

A draw in a fight like that is not an absurd robbery. Everybody seems to have agreed with that before.

Racism is what determines 80% of opinions on here, and every other site.

I don't get why he would be past it to be honest. If he has been through too many wars, then sure. But most of his fights were one-sided and fully in favor of him stylistically. The only two fights where his opponents had legitimate chances were Jacobs and Murray. Golovkin is his first mainstream fight against an opponent that has world class experience. Even then, this was Alvarez' first fight at the full 160 limit.

I just think it was a case of nerves on Golovkin's part. This was his first mainstream fight and it might have gotten to him especially if you judge things from the first two rounds. He didn't exactly fight differently than he did before. Only this time, his opponent just made things more difficult and complicated.
