I suggest you read people's posts more thoroughly before typing up a response.

Byrd did not survive Vitali and Wlad during his IBF run and that is specifically the version of Byrd i claimed could possibly get beaten by GGG. Never did i mention anything about winning by stoppage either.
Byrd not after he lost his IBF belt was destroyed by no-name light heavy Shuan George. He was way past his best when he lost that belt to Wlad. Its not out of the realms of reality that Golovkin could beat a shot Byrd. The question asked what HWs could GGG beat , i can't think of a better example than a shot , immobile , non-punching Chris Byrd.

We have two ratings on Proska. A #4 entering 2012(Before Golovkin) and a #10 leaving 2012(After Golovkin).

Yes, in between that time Proska lost a controversial MD to Hope and avenged it via KO inside of 4 months. RING update their ratings sporadically, usually in quarters at best, and I have my doubts there is a panel vote that reflects both those results. I would say Proska was #4 and #10 and that's about it. While Golovkin rose from #10 to #3.

    Yes - #4 in 2011 and #10 at the end of 2012.

Common sense suggests he got ejected from the top 5 after losing to Hope. Are you saying he regained his top 5 position after beating Hope in the rematch? Got any proof of it?

You did in fact state "beat" but the discussion has been about HWs Golovkin could stop. That's why both me and BCS8 assumed you mean that.

The topic was Heavyweights, not Heavyweights that stupidly drained themselves down to 175 in their late 30s.

That said IBF title Byrd still two 12 round wars with Golota and McCline, and beat Touch of Sleep.

Even a year after Wlad, he had a very respectful showing against Povetkin.

He was not as shot as you are making him out to be.

Might want to reread the thread title and the posts you were responding to.

Grzegorz Proksa has been overlooked by the U.S. boxing media going into his HBO-televised showdown with Gennady Golovkin. However, the Polish southpaw is very confident after recently defeating the only man to beat him.

    This content is protected
, anticipates a taxing battle. The southpaw stylist admits boxers have avoided Golovkin, THE RING’s No. 8-rated middleweight, but he has been yearning for a big fight and was more than happy to take the challenge without a full training camp.

Guess this debate is over. Proska , as i said all along , was ranked #9 when he fought Golovkin .

So RING had him #9 at the time of the fight. I can stand corrected on that.

I just hope you are that specific and diligent next time you are arguing in favor of a fighter you are a fan of.

LOL I thought I was a GGG nuthugger but you'd need explosives to get Outstock off those hairy sacks after that comment. That comment should be worth storing for a rainy day ;)

Byrd fought Povetkin a year later and put up a gallant effort and threw a TON of punches in that fight. Chris was still good enough to stand with any MW in my opinion.

Yes, the Golota, McCline, and Povetkin fights were all wars with Byrd doing lots of punching and moving. Sounds like he just watched highlights of the Wlad fight.

If you ask me theres a reason Jones and Toney both opted to face Ruiz in their HW title fights when Byrd was the one calling them out

Well, when it comes to other fighters, hes fine with RING annual ratings. But when it comes to Golovkin he will go the extra mile, do the research. and track down the ratings to the night of the fight. Its clear he holds Golovkin to a higher standard.

People get so hysterical with everything GGG!

*Any threads you saw about GGG vs any elite HW were few and far between and probably just troll threads.

    * GGG has faced two young Strong prime MW's who were juiced to the hilt his last couple outings.

*GGG has stopped pedestrian HW's in sparring.

    * Ronnie Shields said Rigo hits like a HW so go have a whinge over that.

You're an idiot. You are using a rating to boast Proksa that is simply not true. He was ranked #8 or 9 by the RING entering the fight, lower by everyone else. You live and you learn. You just learned. Could have grasped it weeks ago when I told you but better late than never.
