Povetkin had Bambi legs on ice

I'm starting to think Wilder KO's Povetkin in Russia also starting to think Povetkin's daughter cuts his hair.

Povetkin will look like a deer in the headlights vs Wilder.

    :sisi1

I admit though this fight will be amazing FOTY the atmosphere will be great.

All the respect in the World to Povetkin, Wilder beats him in Russia then is P4P10.

    Nichol's stock will rise

Maybe you should tweet Wilder and try to convince him to just fight somebody anywhere near as good as Povetkin. We would all be happy.

Wilders best win is Stiverne so if I was you I wouldn't be overly confident in Wilder against any top heavyweights, but yes, Wilder looks great fighting stiffs.

Wilder was seriously hurt by Molina, struggled with Spzilka for large periods (great KO though) and even looked tentative against Washington for a few rounds.

Wilder has had nearly 40 fights and still hasn't fought a top heavyweight, so before Povetkin I think Wilder needs to maybe fight a top 10 heavyweight, that's a start.

No, but I do remember when Povetkin was badly staggered and on spaghetti legs, then caught with an absolutely savage left hook, then when he was going down, he grabbed on Wlad, pretending like he was pushed. Lucky for him the ref incorrectly took a point, giving him ample time to recover, because if he'd have let Wlad follow up with an attack, Sasha wouldn't have seen the final bell. I bet most people missed that one. IGNORE all the stuff with Wlad, look at Povetkin right before the punch lands, and how he reacts when he gets back up and staggers like a drunk into the corner, he was badly affected by that left hook. At 1:03:50 in.

I remember when Vlad knocked Wilder down with a jab, then flattened him with a left hook! He beat Wilder from one side of the ring to the other, he would have knocked Joshua out if he had not backed off after having Joshua out on his feet! Nichols knocked Wilder down with a jab! Wilder is afraid of Povetkin or anyone else who can fight............

To be fair, though, Wlad is a monster puncher. Povetkin has looked solid against everybody else.

Oh, and Povetkin gives Wilder a shelling and sinks him in the 5th.

Not so sure about that one. Povetkin seems to have major issues finding his range when facing taller opponents.
    Windmill would have some success.

He had major issues with Wlad, who plays the distance game like a champ. Wilder ... not so much. He should aggressively chase Wilder and force the fight. I believe that Wilder is tailor made for him. Sasha needs his big crack at the title before his arthritis flares up again.

He also had problems with Wach. I just think that Wilder will be fighting off the back foot and it will throw Povetkin off. If Wilder had any real boxing IQ, he would beat Povetkin.
But it is what it is.

I predicted Wilder would win by KO a year before the match was announced, then wrote an article stating that, and picked him again when the match was official, and even did a Custom Title Bet with IB, and if they eventually fight, I'll pick Wilder again. For the exact reasons @Badbot listed.

Had that fight taken place in some states in the US , Wlad would have been convicted for sexual assault

I also see Wilder trying to keep Povetkin at long range. I'm just not convinced that he will be able to.

Wasn't it a Wlad jab that iced Wilder in sparring though?

Spar is spar.. He was meant to have dominated AJ in sparring as well.. On the other hand Whyte , Sherman Da Tank and Richard Towers apparently got sent home for giving Wlad too many problems in camp.
