Degale is just a good fighter/quite good fighter. That is all. Some people really overrate him it's ridiculous.

I like James, but he's infuriating to watch. He seems intent to get control of fights in the early going, and then let the advantage slip by in the middle rounds by hardly throwing anything, laying back on the ropes, and clowning his opponents.

I always thought if Degale took rounds off and sat back on the ropes against Froch, Froch would have gotten through, and battered and stopped Degale.

Degale has a much better chin than Khan. I rate Degale but he would get destroyed in the later rounds, Carl was all wrong for him.

I'd love to see Degale with the Ingles, think he has the style for him to flourish. Jim just seems a trainer that will get someone fit, he never gives instructions in the ring and always ends up shouting. All he did was shout at Danny Williams his whole career.

I take your point, But James seems to have a lot of faith in Jim and, to be honest, I think that counts for a hell of a lot. I'm always suspicious of trainers who say they have a specific gameplan for a fight - Joe Gallagher comes to mind. Yes, of course boxers need a tactical framework but in the heat of battle, talent and self-belief count for way more than anything else.
