Styles make fights and Ward had the style advantage over Carl. I think Froch is a great boxer in his prime but Ward was able to negate his offense fairly easily with the tactics he implemented. A rematch would have been interesting. The fight itself wasn’t exciting but ultimately Wards strategy was very effective. Froch could have made some adjustments in a rematch that most likely would have made it a lot more exciting. Too bad it never happened
I am not biased. The biased garbage come from some of the Froch fanboys. I don’t know many who don’t like Carl Froch’s career for what he gave in the game. Even Andre Ward is appreciative of Carl Froch however the snide comments about Ward from Froch and some of his fans leave a nasty after taste. Anyway to each their own. I think I have made views very clear on this topic.
Delusional, as usual. Ward fought the best of his era, beat the premier unified 175 lb fighter - twice. HOFer/ATG, one of the best fighters of all time is what he will be remembered as.
I'm Canadian, I really wanted to believe he could. While Bute isn't a native Canadian, I still wanted him to win but Froch was too good that night. I'm sure Bute still has nightmares over that night. My God. Literally every punch hurt him, even the ones that Froch was hitting him with on the inside.
@CST80 Would you rather be Bute or G Groves when in terms of being Froch opponents? Think I'd rather be Groves myself. Being knocked out like that ain't nearly as bad as what Froch did to Bute IMO. Groves actually has much success in the 1st and 2nd fight and COULD have won either times.
Easily Groves, I'd much rather be KO'd cold for a few seconds than be brutally beaten down non stop for 5 rounds.
Lots of cherries Kessler Miranda Barrera Froch Kovalev Dawson Abraham Bika Rodriguez ALL cherries, true.
