Got outboxed by a Margarita!!!

He was simply overrated....nice guy but overrated!!!

 

Very good fight. I miss seeing Williams in the ring.

 

Does anyone really hold the Margarito loss against Martinez very much? It was pretty early in his career. I'm not sure it's representative of how a fight between the two of them would go in their primes.

I'm not saying Margarito couldn't win against prime Sergio, but you shouldn't put much stock in that fight.

 

Sergio's prime was at 160.

Margarito only ever won one fight of any minor significance above 147.

"Sergio vs. Margarito Prime for Prime" doesn't make sense. 2 divisions separate them.

 

I thought Sergio won the fight but it was real close. He left no doubt in the rematch though....my favorite KO of the last decade.

 

Martinez was cheated by the criminal judges in the first fight, but Martinez knocked Williams out in the rematch, he did not leave it to the damned criminal judges............good fights...............
