    Including Mayweather.

Wether you believe he beat Castillo or not, it was a close fight. CASTILLO. Chavez is like Castillo only 10 times better.:deal

PBF would win a tough UD against JCC at any weight between 130 - 154. JCC was good, but not good enough.

It was not his absolute prime but Chavez was near his best. He was not old at all.

    Exellent pictures!

That first one for me Scientist is my perspective of the fight.
.....a guaging type of a jab while Whitaker backpedals, that does'nt pop Chavez, but just touches him.

......those are ineffective from my perpsective, but I likely connect on punchstat.

.....while you go down to the third picture, it actually shows Whitaker in a grimace from a punch that lands on Whitakers glove, but drives Whitakers own glove onto his face plenty harder than the touch on the first photograph.

Those photographs say alot about the fight.
The first photograph technically could be called a clean connect, but also an ineffective one.......
......there were many instances throughout that fight where Chavez better leverages shots glanced off of Whitakers arms, elbows and gloves, but then onto his body or face........those types of shots imo were more effective than Whitakers ineffective type of connects as shown in photograph one.

Honestly my opinion and the reason that I scored the fight a draw!

Chavez could outbox them all. Mosley is nothing special right now, Margarito makes snails look fast, Williams is a slapper with no defense, Clottey is pretty basic as a fighter, Cotto's stamina and punch resistance isn't high and Mayweather throws 30 punches per round. The Chavez that fought Whitaker and threw 700 plus WOULD be an issue for him.

Well, there's some evidence there of Whitaker bringing a grimace to Chavez's face with pitty pat jabs, so I won't say anymore, you know where I stand on it Vlade, just as I know where you're at :good

Hey, when I'm talking about guagers like the one I mentioned in the first photograph......I think some of you all mistake that I mean that every Whitaker shot landed like that.......
.....I'm not saying that at all. Of course Whitaker landed some good shots during quite a few of those rounds as well......I scored the fight a draw which just as well means Whitaker landed effectively in the rounds I gave him on my scorecard.

Chavez has the better overall skill, but boxing is about more than just skill.
Height, reach, strenghth, power, stamina, all come into play.......and Chavez would be at a disadvantage in all but stamina.

The current Mosely vs Chavez I could see going either way......but I'd favor the Mosely from his first run as a welter.......
    Cotto imo would be stopped!

Margarito would be outboxed, but not easily!

.....but a fighter llke Williams is too big and strong as a welter. I think Williams jabs and runs his way to a boring decision

Mayweather as a Welter is too quick, fast, and stronger than Chavez as a Welter. He'd land the effective connects more consistently than Whitaker did imo.
Mayweather imo decisions Chavez and Whitaker both at welter.

......its tough Scientist, like we alluded to earlier, the training methods of today incorporate alot more strenghth training than it did just 10 and 15 years ago.

I will say this.......put Chavez on the Supplements distributed by Balco, and I'd go as far as to say, he'd clean up boxing divisions all the way up to 154 lbs!

Is Pea vs. Chavez the most important/greatest robbery in boxing history? I'd say so.

Chavez could walk through William's slappy rubbish easily and nail him with the better shots. The workrate of Williams will be the biggest thing of concern for Chavez, but I still think he will basically block 2 third of William's shots and land half of his own.

Mayweather has shown what exactly at welterweight to give you such confidence in him? Running and stinking the house out against Baldomir? Losing 4 rounds to Judah before the inevitable Zab implosion? Beating a dead Sharmba? Having Hatton on his hammer for 8 rounds before finding a solution?

If Chavez walks in with a high guard, the way DLH did against him, he will make him look very ineffectual, the way DLH did. Potshotting may work on Hatton and Baldomir, but it won't work on Chavez.

Chavez weighed in at 142, Whitaker weighed in at 145. It's not as if there was any real size difference between the two or Chavez had to put on any substantial weight that effected his performance.

Why did Chavez dump the IBF title?

I find it hard to believe he feared Pineda.

At the same time, I can't see why he did that. Did he ever give a reason?
