Whitaker was robed. Not only of the win but his place in history. It was a masterful performance by a master boxer. Chavez was highly ratted p4p at the time. I felt and still still fell that Chavez was over protected at 140 espicily after Tyson was sent to prison and he became King's #1 atraction. I tink this hurt him when he faced other top boxers like Whitaker and Taylor. Allthough I think he was being over ratted at the time Chavez was still a very good boxer.
A match up at 135 and 140 would produce the same result.

When your in decline, your in decline, it happens to every fighter, you cant take away what a fighter did in his prime by singling out 1 or 2 performances when they were on the slide.

Arguello sat down vs Pryor... Robinson didnt come out for the 14th vs Maxim... whats the problem ?

They more than proved their worth throughout their careers & they are only human anyway.

If I remember correctly I scored it 118-110 for Sweet Pea, making it one of the very worst decisions I have ever seen. It is one of my favourite boxing performances of all-time. Considering the standard of the opposition and the occasion, I thought Whitaker was absolutely superb. A truly elite fighter.
