He beat Washed Warrington by majority decision. He wasn’t top anything. At least Lara put him away and did it a year or two earlier.
Barrios who got completely outboxed by a part time fighter Keith Thurman. Cruz who just got exposed as mainly a one dimension come forward fighter with no plan B. And Martin who barely scraped by Artem Harutyunyan prior to getting KO’d by Tank. Again, nothing to write home about.
Rolly, Pitbull, and Barrios all became champions after fighting Tank, and Ryan beat a reigning and highly regarded champ. Donaire beat a totally forgettable champ for a belt after fighting Inoue and Rodriguez beat a nobody by decision for a vacant strap before quickly losing it. Maloney similarly won a vacant belt against a nobody after fighting Inoue and quickly lost it. Edge: Tank
Let’s see: Barrios fought for a vacant title and became champ by beating a damaged Ugas who was just coming off a beating from Spence. Basically Spence’s leftovers. Rolly became “champ” by “stopping” 85 year old Barrosos in a fight he was losing. Cruz became champ by beating Rolly who has a boxing IQ of a peanut. If that’s really something to brag about when it comes to best win column then that’s really not impressive. I would have given it to Ryan Garcia, too bad he p1ssed it all away with his shenanigans. His roided up performance against Haney is the best we’ll ever see out of him. I doubt we’ll see him win a title with no advantages given how far gone he is at this point.
LSC has a better inside game and I guess better handspeed (not really a skill but it’s something) than Rodriguez but I wouldn’t give him anything else off the top of my head. The only real fundamental flaw to pick out with Rodriguez is that he’s sometimes overly willing to stay on the centre line and trade with his opponent, but funnily enough that’s even more of a weakness for Leo. In general Leo just doesn’t show the same level of variety or comfort in defense that Rodriguez does. Plus Tank was larger than Leo while Inoue and Rodriguez were the same size.
Ugas was a better win than almost anyone on Inoue's resume. Barroso banged out Davies in one round. So much for being old. Cruz had a great performance. Edge: Davis It's telling how you didn't "analyze" any of those 118 nobodies taking vacant belts against cab drivers.
Lol you seriously don’t mean that. Ugás who was damaged to bits from Spence prior by the time Barrios got to him. Sure Ugas’ best win was 42 year old Pac and Omar Figueroa but that doesn’t take away the fact that he was Spence’s leftover when Barrios beat him. Davies who? Oh some guy whose best win is Lewis Ritson. Yeah against a crude unskilled brawler who cant box to save his life. Easy to look great against. You bumped this thread to disparage Fulton after his last fight against Castro thinking you made your point about Tanks resume being superior but really you’re still not making a good case in your argument. Remind me why Tank’s resume is something to write home about?
Inoue needs to beat MJ, Robeisy, or Espinoza if he wants to be ahead of Davis. Fulton would also be respectable. Knowing Inoue, he’ll take on Angelo and his fanboys will be drooling over it. He’ll follow that with Nick Ball.
