Think the tall Canadian did okay there. Apparently he sparred with Carl Froch according to the commentator here.
Damn, Decarie is startin to open up. First impression I beleive I was wrong. Decarie is gonna stop this Spivey if he continues to fight the way he is now.
His record says he can't punch ****. He seems a bit slow and basic... Whilst Spivey seems more style than substance right now. Flashy little bursts but overall not good. About worthy of the title they are fighting for!
Yea, Janik isn't bad. I seen him once somewhere... Poland is coming up with some good crusiers. Adamek, Wlodarczyk, Masternak, Kolodziej, Hutkowski
That should be quite an advantage in itself. Plus I think I just heard them say Spivey is here on 7 day notice. Not good. Spivey looks more athletic, but the taller Decarie looks like he will wear him down if he can land some of those long rights.:yep
Decarie dives in a bit off balance with that chin out. Spivey needs to time that ****. He could steal the show. IMO, Decarie is not using his height advantage to the fullest.
I think the only guy getting knocked out here is Decarie, and its his fight to lose. Could be a 12 round glorified sparring session here! Does not feel like a high tempo fight. Nail him with a hayemaker and lets get this show on the road, main event baby.
Herman just said he plans to box, which is highly recommended IMO. You don't go toe to toe with Urango. Dude is a damned TANK at JWW. Urango's last opponent Vilches, was running and pot shotting, but Urango managed to cut him off and one shot got the KO of the year mentions.
Really? I would have thought the other way around. Spivey's already been rocked a couple times. IMO, if Spivey wins it woudl be UD, but I think Decarie will TKO Spivey around 8 or 9. Bet ya.
Urango looked like horse **** against Ben Rabah and got lucky on the cards. It's only a matter of time until somebody can take his power, or completely neutralises him with superior speed and footwork, and he'll be shutout or stopped. Hopefully Ngoudjo is the man to do it, but I'm not 100% confident in him for a number of reasons. Swells up like a *****. Likes to get into a fight. Never really stuck to a gameplan for 12. Stamina has let him down a little. Never got over the finishing line (although I think he deserved the nod against PM). Also been hurt a couple times. Still, I think he will do it.
Good point, sir. The more the merrier. Cruisers are really exciting when their on. They are like the real HW's of the past, and most important, they stay in shape. Friggin HW's now are all lazy and fat with very few exceptions. TFFP, you could be right. If Decarie don't quit falling in from too far out ending up off balance with that chin out, Spivey needs to pull the trigger.:yep
IMO, getting in a fight with Urango is a BAD idea. I know what you're sayin though. It is a title fight too. I think its IBF, if I'm not mistaken.
If Decarie would just use his jab, and follow it in smartly, this would be a fairly easy deal IMO. But he keeps fiting from too far out without setting any thing up. If this doesn't cost him against Spivey, it sure as hell will against better opposition.
Decarie won't make any noise at world level. He has every possible advantage over this over-matched, under-prepared, old Spivey, and he's still making it look like a struggle. No jab. No footwork.
