Whoever it is, I'm on the verge of muting it and I've only ever done that once. I think that was the Taylor/Wrinky fight. The bad commentators pick their favorite in round 1, and roll with them until the very end, even if they getting tagged. You guys rip the HBO commentators to peices, but I would rather listen to those goes (especially the excellent Merchant) than this trash.
Well sir, as you may have noticed on here, few love Teddy Atlas's work either. Next though, I think we get to hear from Margarito on the weekends bull ****.
I don't even know if its true they'll withhold the purse. That's just what these commentators say, but I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw em! They scored fights horribly in the past when I watched them. It always seemed like they would score everything for one guy and score it in a one sided way. They would surely pay him if they had any morals. The little guy is trying his best on short notice.
This fight is utter ****. Spivey has no business fighting a 12rd fight right now.. and Decarie sucks ass.
Teddy knows what the sport is about though. You don't have to agree with his fight picks, but he calls a fight way better than these jokers. Trust me.
Spivey has thrown a surprising amount of "punches". 800 odd  He's definitely gone to the Calzaghe school of punching though.
I don't disagree, but I've seen worse. ****, I take free boxing anytime. Plus, I expect the main event to be fun.
I fully respect Joe Calzaghe, but nobody is about to tell me that he throws punches properly. He doesn't.
A little credit to Spivey for being brave and coming in on 7 days, and few fights in a long time, he came atleast. It also kind of shows Decarie needs a lot of work, to be any kind of force, especially in the vaunted WW division.
Oh, I'm still watching.. it's just a **** fight. Spivey isn't in shape for a full 12rd fight, not with the holding point deductions and the constant **** from the ref.. this Decarie is C-level at best... just not that good.. almost same level as that Polish guy in the previous fight... just not going anywhere. Not exciting, not powerful, not that polished... just average.
Gotta respect Spivey. Decent effort from him to last the distance after some shakey moments considering the circumstances of this fight. He's probably come out with more respect.
..and it wasn't excessive holding. Just ****ing break them. Whenever a ref pulls points on holding it ****s up the fight.. every ****ing time. It becomes awkward.. with one guy trying to force holds.. and the other being wary of getting tangled up. It's almost ALWAYS worse than the holding was.
