Good finish to a crappy fight. Peter expands all the energy in the world lunging in and taking punishment for establishing inside position, only to smother pathetically instead of doing something with the inside real estate he fought so hard to get. Did anyone teach this guy uppercuts or any other straight, short punches? Peter has no skills. All he can do is hurt low grade opponents when the refs dont see his rabbit punching. His chin is over rated as well.

Exactly. When people ask "Why do you watch Wladimir Klitschko fight?" the best answer is "Because whatever round it ends in is ample payoff for the monotony of all the preceding rounds"

Seriously, there's been very few fights I've seen of either of the Klitschko's that disappointed me in the end where I wish I didn't watch. Ibragimov for Wlad, and Johnson for Vitali. That's it. They haven't all been great, but usually the end in an exciting satisfying way.

Seriously, it took Wlad getting KO'd to understand how to take advantage of his size, and you can say Lewis did the same.

Vlad wasn't initiating the clinches. Didn't you see referee Robert Byrd telling Vlad, "your hands are free." Clearly, Peter was clinching, and Byrd was urging Vlad to use his fists to fight out of the clinch. Byrd even went to Vlad's corner between rounds to urge him to pound Peter during clinches.

The guys here blaming Vlad for the clinches are nuts. Peter hung on for dear life. If anything, Vlad should be blamed for not unleashing powershots at close range, to break Peter's clinching.

Overall, easy win for Vlad. Peter didn't land a single solid blow to the head the entire fight. I thought Vlad might even end it very early, he was so dominant in the second. But Vlad took his time, winning easily and without taking risks.

Vlad is worth watching because he's dominant as hell. He's not exciting, but he is one of a small handful of heavyweights in history who are head and shoulders above their competition. In any sport, there's an element of fascination in watching the athlete who is a long-term dominant figure. Same with Vlad.

Maybe David Haye can accomplish something against Vlad. We'll see. As for Povetkin, I disagree with Teddy Atlas: Povetkin will never be ready for Vlad. Vlad is simply to big, too strong, and too good to ever be threatened by Povetkin.
