3G v Jacobs wasn't as close as these idiots love to pretend...

"A lot of guys scored it for Jacobs..." .... Such a cliche thing to say.

@IsaL u should listen to me bro, I know what I'm talking about considering I predicted all 3 outcomes. Fury, Kovalev & GGG would get jobbed... Only calling it like Floyd did bro...

& beating* a 37 yr old u all called a bum isn't something to revel in is it???

    True story.

    :)

It was very close, GGG just didn’t land much clean besides the jab. Jacobs landed the cleaner, more damaging punches I had it 7-5 Jacobs, but wouldn’t argue with 6-6. The scorecards definitely favored Golovkin, too wide.

The best line when there’s a robbery is, “the fans won tonight.”

No one seems to challenge that line. It’s usually followed by, “because they get to see it all again in the rematch.”

More damaging from Jacobs? I seemed to recall neither guy even appearing hurt, yet only Jacobs tasted the canvas. What rounds did you give Danny?

Both matches were close and arguable either way. In the first fight Canelo had complete control until the final minute of the 5th round when G landed that shot with Canelo on the ropes then finished the round strong. What made it close was GGG's effectiveness in rounds 5-9. But before that Canelo was cruising completely outboxing the G man. And then after those middle rounds Canelo finished strong in rounds 10-12. To score the first bout in favor of GGG you really are being very generous to GGG. The 2nd bout most are more accepting of a Canelo victory mainly because Canelo provided more consistent come-forward aggression which was a popular criticism of his strategy in the first bout.

I agree with all except the Krusher rematch because that was the suspect low blows.
Krusher looked gassed badly and I just wish it ended differently tbh

All of Ward's "low blows" were on the belt-line except for the very last one which is hard to blame Ward for considering Kovalev's hunched over posture at that point.

I will say Canelo shinned the brightest in the GGG fights. I even stood up and yelled when Canelo was on the ropes and shaking his head while inviting GGG to the inside.
    Classic fights !!!

I just hated the ending as it will always be disputed on were they low or not.

Yes I hated that there was controversey, it was unfortunate, but the fact is that Ward had Kovalev hurt and about to be stopped from legal blows including a handful of belt-line shots. The last shot was low, but posters on here constantly exaggerate and act like there was several low blows when there weren't.

The moral of every disputed disicion, is that you can't dispute a knock out, its roulette when it goes to points...i wonder if there's any threads on how to score fights? Anyone know of any?

Having promoters owning the show is the issue. Fighters are money making assets nothing more so they will be used (and abused) as such..

Only real way around this would be to have the organisations run the fight promotions like the UFC does..

The UFC does have bad decisions but it doesn't seem to have the home town cooking that happens in nearly every big boxing match..

Hey, I'll gladly debate you on the first Canelo-GGG fight if you promise to keep it civil. If you do debate me you can still keep your position that GGG won, but you won't be able to deny that an argument can be made that the fight can be scored either way.

I didn’t say either was hurt, just that Jacobs landed the flusher, more damaging punches. I really liked his work in this fight. The KD looked like a balance issue.

    I gave Jacobs 1,2,6,7,8,10,11.
