Whoah. Stop the Holy-hate. Yes, he lost a trilogy to a PRIME in-shape Bowe, and a took a loss against a PRIME in-shape Moorer. He also beat Bowe one of those times and was the first man to drop him. He masterfully KO'd Moorer in the rematch and beat Foreman before Foreman KO'd Moorer. Yes he lost to Lennox twice, but there is no shame in that since Lennox is the best heavyweight since Tyson. Oh yeah, and he beat Tyson twice after Tyson regained the WBA title; so just as Tyson may have been past his best, Holyfield was also past his best because his best was at cruiserweight (according to you). :!:

Bull****.... "McCall & Rahman" were WORLD CLASS at the time that they BOTH stopped Lennox Lewis in 1994 & 2001... WTF?? Also, both McCall & Rahman have damn good right hands that can KO a horse, if the damn animal is willing to take the shot.... Lennox Lewis has a good chin... This crap about his chin being made out of glass is just crapola. There is NO shame getting parked by McCall and Rahman if they have landed a BOMB upside your head....:yikes

No matter all the excuses, no matter all the blather, Lewis boosters cannot change the fact he is the ONLY top level HW champ taken out by two ordinary fighters in the early rounds when he held the title. The only one.

This alone shows how overrated Lewis is. When you add in the fact that he only faced the best fighters of his era when they were past it, and didn't fight Bowe at all, it's pretty damn clear he is not just overrated, but absurdly overrated

Rahman knocked Lewis out, not a TKO either. McCall hurt him and the fight was stopped.

I think Foreman was 45 at the time. And Moorer had a notoriously glassy chin anyway. Every fighter has flaws, doesn't make them bums though. 2 time titlist = bum:huh

People fail to mention that he came back and avenged BOTH losses in more spectacular fashion than he lost the 1st time around. But I guess if your are not undefeated these days with a padded record you are automatically overrated.

Yawn yawn yawn!!! This topic is boring as hell and has been done to death! Hey, name another all time great besides Holy who has twice been beat down by former light heavyweights (Moorer and Toney). Name another one besides Tyson who has twice been beat down by over 20-1 underdogs? We can all find little statistical anomalies with the great heavies. But apart from Marciano there isn't one who never lost, not one! You cannot just claim that a loss, two losses or even ten losses mean a fighter isn't a great whilst glossing over all their wins over top level fighters. Which in Lewis' case means 14 world champs of carious descriptions and a number of others who may have been had they come up against a weaker champ. That, right there, is greatness my friends!

    jog on, overated my ass.

your just jelous the guy wasnt fighting from american, if he was he'd be an ATG in your books as well as all the other american doubters he had during his career and by the sounds of it still has now. Hell i'll go out by saying he could probably come out of retirement npw and do both the klits
