We all know Manny was victorious in his bouts with Marquez with an official record of 2-1-1. It is important to remember that preferential treatment and sheer incompetence in Manny Marquez I resulted in a draw. With Manny knocking Marquez to the canvas three times in the opening round he should have enjoyed a 10-6 on all scorecards. Judge Burt Clements scored the round 10-7 for Manny and after the fight conceded his error:

"It used to be that a three-knockdown round was 10-7," Clements told the San Diego Union-Tribune, "I take full responsibility. Had I been aware, I would have scored it 10-6."

If Clements had properly scored the 3 KDs in Round 1 Manny would emerged victorious instead of settling for a draw due to judges error. It is irrefutable that Manny had to settle for a draw in their first fight due to judges error as per Mr. Clements admissions.

With Marquez retiring it is important to reflect upon the fact that Manny defeated Marquez 3 times and really should have a record of 3-1 against him when considering Marquez's legacy in the ring.

I agree there should be an astrix beside the KO loss as well due to Marquez obviously doping.

LMFAO, and there shouldn't be an asterisk to all of Manny's wins? LMFAO. He's the biggest drug cheat in the sport...Look at his head.

Marquez has a huge head as well. What are we even talking about here? I was talking about a human error costing Manny a victory which is a fact conceded by the judge himself.

You are talking about head size. Please stay on topic.

Everybody knows that already. One judge made a stupid mistake by not giving Manny 10-7 in the first round. Where the hell have you been?
Your reminder is useless. That's what I mean.

The only error that happened in that fight was the judge giving Manny far too many rounds to begin with, that + 2nd fight + 3rd. He CLEARLY lost all 3 of those fights on the cards if we are being objective.

    2. There's absolutely NO DOUBT that Pacquiao's head increased exponentially in size throughout the years and only Ray Charles/Stevie Wonder can't see that. Anyone with eyes that can see and an IQ above room temperature knows that he was juiced up to the eyeballs, far more than anyone in the sport. It's irrefutable.

You are assuming the judges opinion is gospel fact representative of the viewing public opinion.

Majority of people scored their first fight to Marquez. Second fight is closer to 50/50 but even then leans to Marquez. The third fight, yeah well, the vast majority scored it to Marquez comfortable. The fourth fight? B, b, but Pac was up by 1 point thru 5 rounds!!!

    1. Manny won 3-1, judging error cost Pac the first win.
    2. Marquez has the last laugh.
    3. Marquez was happy to end the series with his KO win and want nothing of Pac since.
    4. Pac will always be greater than Marquez.
    5. MVC is a flom* and have nothing good to say about Pac. He is a ESB cartoon character of pauline mallinaggi in this subject.

These 5 points are irrefutable facts.

the only clear victory was the 4th. apart from that i actually thought the 3rd was close but clear in favour of marquez. the other 2 it does not matter who you think won, either fighter or a draw is acceptable

At best it should be 2-2 for Pacquiao. The clear wins were the JMM in fight 3 and 4. 4 was a brutal KO which sent Pacquiao to God and the third fight was a clear robbery.

The first two fights were back and forth humdingers in which you can make a good case for both fighters.

The third fight was an obvious JMM win though and the fourth, well we all know what happened there. It is however very funny how all of the Pac fans who were so critical of anyone using less than conclusive 'evidence' to accuse Pac then went on to do the exact same thing with JMM turned his lights out.

So after reading all comments in this thread, I have to come up with a conclusion that they should fight each other again. Their first 3 fights were not clear who won them except the fourth fight which was the only KO victory for JMM. So, I see no reason why their 5th fight should not be made.
