He sure has developed into a very slick, defensive master with mobility and heart...now we saw a aggressive front footed power punching display...and suddenly hes hercules

    ....he has not fought....that much..

An ancient 42 yr old klitchko...wilder who dropped him twice..than turned up legless.

Look at the trouble non entities like wallin gave him..

Its a weak division the top 4 aside...(furtywilder, aj,ortiz,).... the 80s pool has 10-15 guys who could conceivably master fury......fury has struggled with 80s sized guys like cunningham and wilder.

Because of his proclivity to getting hit y single shots...the fact he has never faced a good hw boxer save a rusty 42 year old...i could see the following randoms outboxing him and stopping him over 15

Wirherspoon, 1984 pinklon thomas, 1982 cooney...i think ossie ocasio gives him problems, carl williams of the 80s ,tony tucker, spinks who beat cooney beats fury, frank bruno and mason have a better shot than ortiz and esp the blubbery whyte... obviously tyson, holmes and foreman mk2 beat him..

As for the 90s forggetabout it....tua,ibeabuchi,lewis,bowe,holyfield even mccall fold him

We all know Fury beat Klitschko, but what fight fans over the world really want to see is:

    Fury - Helenius

I have Helenius on RSC/TKO. Because there's no way Fury could beat a Finn, but I also can't imagine him leaving the sauna before passing out.

I'm not an expert on football, but my impression was that QBs aren't the tanks that block shots or tackle everybody. They are more of a precision skill, high IQ position, and I don't know that being an inch or two taller would necessarily help them throw the ball better. It helps to be able to take the shots of larger men, but other than that I see few advantages for a quarterback in being taller. My impression, and again I only have a rudimentary knowledge of the sport, was that each position had different ideal body types which help with their functions on the team. The kicker, I believe, can even be a whispy bird bodied fellow. He just has to kick and have a good leg. The runner, or receiver I think they are called would actually be at a disadvantage if he were too large. I had to look up the heights of players and their best 4/40 or 100 meter times a while back for a similar discussion. Above 6'1" I think it was, everybody had slower times the bigger they got. The fastest guys were smaller guys relatively speaking. I think with the QBs you might have diminishing returns the taller up you go, unless I'm wrong and Brock Osweller or Joe Flacco are the best QBs in the NFL. There may even be a sweet spot at like 6'4" or 6'5" where they have speed as well as power.

I also wouldn't be too quick to conclude that 6'8" is the new norm. There is one guy who's 6'8" in the top 10. Whyte, Ortiz, and Pulev are 6'4". Usyk is 6'3". Ruiz, Hunter, and Povetkin are 6'2". Chisora is 6'1".

Also, I think that Fury has been crowned a bit prematurely, and will sit very briefly on his shaky new throne. There have been superheavyweights in every era of boxing. They didn't automatically assume the championship status. Joe Louis beat Buddy Baer, Abe Simon, and Primo Carnera from pillar to post and had a lot more trouble with Billy Conn and Jersey Joe Walcott. Ali walloped the likes of Ernie Terrell, Joe Bugner, and Chuck Wepner while 5'11" Joe Frazier gave him his hardest fights. Larry Holmes made mince meat out of Gerry Cooney, Roy Williams, and Leroy Jones but had his hands full with the likes of Mike Weaver and Michael Spinks. Of course, after that we had Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield's reigns 5'10" and 6'2". They walked all over the big men of their time.

You are right that the height of the top ten or the champions at heavyweight has increased over time. But I don't think we can rule out talented smaller men from the discussion entirely.

I see all Fury family are fat loudmouths , they talk about fighting , but all I see is a bunch of fat bald men trying to box , but boxing and street fighting are different . Brits can’t wrestle and if you can’t wrestle you basically can’t fight . Put Fury in with Stipe and you’ll see what’s gonna happen.
They maybe tough by british standards ,but outside of UK they are fat , drunk and stupid degenerates.

You see a fat bald man who spawned the gypsy warrior who not only is the Face of and biggest star in US boxing, but who currently alongside fellow Brit Level HW Anthony ''AJ'' Joshua are the keepers of the belts and have the entire HW division on lockdown.

Ali was overrated imo, he lost to Holmes and Berbick….Same logic as yours, both at the tail end of their careers taking L's because they were done

nope, he loses badly to most heavyweight champs of the 20th century. Once again, beaten an ancient Wlad and old Wilder, struggled a lot in his early career, improved a bit but, his record is hardly stacked is it? Get a grip.
