I'll add that AJ had WAY more money and resources behind him. Dare I say, he was far more privileged due to the English environment. The amateur fight thing is not important because it depends when people decide to turn pro. Fury was pro at 20 or whatever it was, so he obviously is not going to have a big amateur background. Funny thing is, in the early days of the Fury AJ argument, all these pathetic Joshua cheerleaders were complaining that AJ was a late starter compared to Fury because he turned pro later. Wait, doesn't that mean he had more amateur experience? So wouldn't Fury be handicapped? Make up your minds you little worms. Or maybe I'll make them up for you: Joshua is a highly experienced, massively funded and supported fighter who is INFERIOR to Usyk. And AJ is lucky Usyk wasn't a few inches taller or he would have been splattered.
I ran track in high school and my son is on a track team in middle school and my daughter is on a Jr track club.
one lives it the other its just a job to them and it shows same with brook and khan most were fooled for years with blinkers on that just couldnt or refused to see it citing all sorts lofl
It doesn't matter. Usyk is a skilled boxer, Joshua is a skilled athlete. If you put the greatest athlete from the NFL in a ring with the P4P #1 in boxing he'll lose. Boxing is about skills and iq. Not about muscles and looks. Joshua isn't even a Top 20 boxer. But he's one of the greatest athletes HW boxing has seen. We all know you can go far in HW boxing without skills but there is a limit. Joshua reached his limit three times now. He'll probably lose a couple of more fights before he retires in a few years. At least if he doesn't fight the Tom Littles and Sean Turners of the world...
Don't mention Ken Norton around Joshua. You know, the guy who put on gloves for the first time in his life at the age of 24 just because he wanted some special privileges in the marines. The guys who went on to beat Muhammad Ali and give him extremely close fights twice. The guy who has extremely close, one-point decision against Larry Holmes. The guy was who inducted into the Hall of Fame of boxing on the third year of its existence along the likes of Jofre, Arguello, and Burley.
If you are talking about Usyk and Joshua that much is clear. However starting young boxing matters in teenage formative years.
Again, I just showed you an example of someone who started later. He was able to be a champion with a lack of experience. He and his fans need to accept the losses too.
