That was INTENSE, IIRC. :bbb Obviously the top honors go to Vazquez-Marquez III, but 2008 calls for a Top Five or even Ten FOTYs list. So many fights with multiple rewatch value. After Auld Lang Syne is sung, everyone can rank their top picks in order and dissect and decry everyone else's. :yep Of course, we still have candidates rolling in right down to the wire, including two just this week in the Torres-Holt rubbermatch and Cunningham-Adamek. Good year.
Vasquez/marquez III seems so long ago, I guess its because i watched it more than 25 times already I wonder what kind of controversy we will get in holt/torres III you just know there will be one.
That was an EXCELLENT fight IB, thanks for bringing it back up. Not sure it beats out Villa - Mtagwa, even though there was a ton more skill at play. I'd toss out Salido - Miranda also, although it was too short for real consideration.
I still need to see Villa-Mtagwa! There looks to be a crappy tv-on-camera recording on youtube of the last two rounds, is it worth holding off and hunting down the whole thing instead (not that I'd dream of asking for or advocating the viewing of copyright materials here )?
its definetely worth getting that fight but dont expect to see a display of boxing skills cause thats not what this fight was about, this was just a brawll and an all out war.
Blade is right, I'm not sure I'd pay DVD money to rewatch this one, but as far as drama it was absolutely WILD. I mean, Mtagwa was DONE after the ninth, then came out like a madman in the tenth. I'll keep an eye out for this one, although I too have the utmost respect for copyright law. :good
